Very interesting. Not really like any other beer i've tasted.

I like the beer as much as I like the description on the side of the bottle...

"They said it couldn't be done, that it would be undrinkable, that we couldn't use more than 5% heavy peated malt in a beer. So we carefully considered their advice and went with 100% instead."

Nice.

Peated malt= smokey yes? I've not had much experience with it.

Sig worthy.

New Belgian Fat Tire is bloody lovely. I was picking up chocolate malt which surprised me due to the colour. Not sure if my palate was doing something funky or if it's actually there.
Feral Golden Ace is my new favorite summer beer. Very fresh lemon/pine hops aroma. Decent malt backbone too. Not too flabby on the finish which is nice because it's not exactly dry. Super easy drinking.

Sig worthy.

DMS isn't specifically from wheat. DMS is a by product of SMM which is present in all malted grains to some extent. It's produced during some stage, which I can't remember. Mash? Boil? Ferment? I'll look it up though

The last Boring Beer I had was great. diacetyl was present, but it went down a treat.

Sig worthy.

I might just not like the taste/notice it more ? (just call me super tongue ??? lololoool etc)

I googled a bit and it seems to indicate that you notice it more in light beers and those with mostly pale malt. Its produced during boil mostly (converting that SMM you mentioned)

cool... I learnted something today :D

Haha yeah I learnt too.
We get dms in our lagers sometime. It's acceptable in small amounts( aroma not taste) in most european lagers though. I'd rather dms than diacetyl in lager.

Sig worthy.

Hi,

You might be a bit more prone to picking it up, as in bottle I'm pretty happy with it.

It's taken on a bit of floral too, but eh, it's boring beer.

It's 100% marris otter, btw!

Cheers,
Nik

Hi,

The Abominable from HopWorks was delicious.

SN was indeed good.

Ninkasi Red - well, I'm just into Red's at the moment... so hard for me not to say it was my favourite.

Cheers,
Nik
