Last time I had a pressure pack made up at my local paint shop, it was about $20-30.
Worth it, in two ways.
More cash in your pocket.
Satisfaction you've done it yourself.

Just had a quote come back for replacements from Subaru, $29.20 EACH ($116.80 for 4) :negative:
Definately going to the local paint shop!!

Nice! Pic update?

hehe, I hope to get some pics post-tint....
However, tonight after taking the first wheel off to remove the wheel cap (respray), I was amazed at how filthy the inside rim of the wheel was.
So in true obsessive compulsive style, I started to clean it. Golly!!!
10 years worth of road grime sure takes some elbow grease..... even when finished it didn't look 100% clean, but it was 80%-90% better than how I found it.
Now in retrospect, It'll probably take 1-2 days to look as dark as it did originally....although I'm hoping it won't.
Have you ever been that anal to clean the inside of your alloys? :scratch_one-s_head:

Point taken....

Have you guys (Shiv/Morgan) done the CAI thing? I'm curious to know if it impacted your insurance (if you've done it)?
I've seen custom ones (DIY) all over the place but nothing specific for an early Gen3 Lib. from a respectable supplier.... any suggestions?

Car is looking sweet, well done. And the modding bug never goes away once caught, i've heard rumours of a pill in development but a real cure is years away :D The cai is not that hard to do, i did it on my JDM gen 3 RSK B4. The only pain is getting the resonator out from the inner guard, its a very tight fit. I replaced the factory airbox with a steel dry cone filter when i fitted mine but you can run a flexi pipe straight from the inner guard into the stock airbox through the hole in the engine bay where the factory resonator used to come through. You can get the flexi pipe from a hardware shop, i used aluminium ariconditioning pipe, it will bend to fit and is pretty tough so will not split apart like some of the cheap crap you get in auto shops. it only cost about 25 quid..

Thanks guys,
I'm really not happy with the front licence plate size/position. It's what came on the car, but the inlet in the bumper is only 350mm wide, yet the plate is around 370mm wide.
Not only that but the brace that comes through the bumper is about 25mm lower than the top of the inlet... which IMO looks a little tacky.
(also the front plate is a little worse for wear).
I guess I can check with rego to see if I can get a 350mm wide one, then MOD something to lift it up to where 'I think' it should be.
What it looks like (close up):

every 2nd or third time I wash the car, or every 5000kms, whatever comes first.

I do it during the tyre rotation.

If you clean it often enough, you can stay on top of it!

yeah. I have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

And cleaning wheels in general takes a lot of effort, especially if you have a million spokes to do! :dash2:

Try this stuff, just spray on leave a few munutes, give a rub with a brush for stubborn marks and then rinse off with a strong jet of water.. Very little effort needed.

Dont know if this is the same stuff - re-named, but this is what I ended up using:

Meguiars: Hot Rims - All Wheel Cleaner
The first wheel I did took ages..... I tried degreaser / cutting compound etc... and a tonne of elbow grease and it took a good 30 mins to get a half decent result.
But with the Hot Rims foam (I'm now a BIG Meguiars fan) , sprayed it on, let it sit for 15-20 seconds, wiped it off with ease, sprayed down with hose, and had the wheel back on in about 5 minutes with a better result than the first attempt.
Go buy some... :D
