And this is what mine sounds like: (poor quality vid, with the sound of a Walbro fuel pump at the start)

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=RJgha2TVwI8

and a bit of in car noise:

(hesitated at the end cause i saw another car, no its not VOD) :)

If it's broke use a cable tie.

Cruise is an aftermarket fitment, and some independent Subaru dealerships offered them as part of the package with the B4. I've seen a couple B4's with them before.

Are these paddles?

Or Audio controls?
I messaged the owner yesterday but haven't received a reply.

OK I see em now, ta!

As far as I know none came with steering wheel controls.

I think it would be the Cruise Control one side and prob the remote from the stereo (not std) on the other, I know alot of people who have stuck the remotes for their stezza to the steering wheel.

Just went for a ride in this.
Wow!
Poor guy has only had it for two years and payed a little over $30K for it.
It is in great condition, few paint blemishes on the front bonnet lip where previous owner had bonnet/headlight protectors.
It's now up to 80,700Kms, and everything is stock.
But wow, if that's what stock feels like then Chadza & Walt's must be, well, frightening.
He also said someone is coming over from Sydney during the week and interest has increased recently....
I'll go and talk to the people that own my car and see what they have to say tomorrow..... I'm not expecting good news but I'll give it a shot.

As discussed its the aftermarket cruise, same as mine has got. The one on the right has on/off, set/accelerate, and resume/decel buttons. the one on the left is an optional extra that ya can add that allows you to set one touch preset speeds. See here for their website click me which is one of the worst ive seen in a while. However their cruise does work reasonably well.

To be honest i have never driven a stock B4 so im not sure what there like lol, the one i bought was the first and only one i test drove,
But the first time i took it over 4000 revs it scared the shit out of me and my dad sitting in the passenger seat,
but like everything you get used to it :)

Hmmm  perhaps don't try to wreck someone elses car by 'trying' to hear what ping sounds like.

Just read an article (20 months old) that gave the B4 a serve for it's twin turbo choice compared to a bigger single unit...
I don't know didley squat about turbos but was curious if B4 owners would agree with the comments made in this article?
David Morley, The Age, January 10, 2008
And if so, what single units are most sort after if someone wanted to change over?

It's a good idea in concept, but not so great in practice. It could have been done a lot better still with the sequential twins.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Its a matter of opinion, but describing the B4 as lethargic and slow below 4000rpm is just wrong. Any B4 that i have driven (all JDM spec) have been very quick to pull from about 2000rpm.

Maybe he should try a few more before he runs down its performance.

Just my humble opinion
