They're four liters, and a very well designed motor.

Any set of decent extractors will see gains of around 20-25rwkw on any 5.7ltr V8 when combined with an efficient exhaust system (2.5/3.0" twin system). The clubbies aren't really all that special. They have a slightly different tune, and different exhaust manifolds as standard. wewt...
They look good though.

Im not saying its the clubbie just saying Pacemaker is a good product. The clubbies of that varient came with a 2inch manifold, same as the standard commo's. (im repeating what i was told by the guys at Pacemaker).

Put a VY kit on your car. Be hekkas y0.

2years after I get my greens which I've been able to get for a month now. Just gotta pay some bills/fines before I go for them.

Thought about it but meh in 2years I'l be better employed and be able to do it properly. Rather then using some thrashed half dead rs driveline.

Thinking an ej22t would be a good upgrade.

Wanna get my current engine done before seriously thinking about building the next one.

Do it once do it right...

Dude, in two years you'll want a new car. If not before hand.

Fair call Mark but would you want to be pulling the motor out twice in twoish years? May be better to put the 2.5 in and sell it once you can get a turbo. I was saying i was gonna do this and that to my car. Oh how thats changed! Haha.

Im all for a mildly worked 2.5. Would be pretty cool. Just saying you should just have one last think about it and see if its worth putting in the 2.5 then a few years later ripping that out again along with gearbox, diff's etc.

EJ22T would be mad in a S1 like yours. Keen to see the RS kit on it.

Whats happening about the paint?

When I want a new car, I'll buy one. As f**ked as my car is im content doing stuff to it. Its heading in the right direction. At the end of the day it only has to float my boat.

In 2years im not straight away gonna be ripping it, could even be 3. Plently of applications around home for a ej25. I do see your point. But I don't wanna go cheap and shit and be pulling the engine out or fixing it everyweek. Yeah I know what you mean with the 'gonna do this' from the start I've wanted an rs conversion. As my first post shows in the thread here and on oznoob. Been striping paint of the bumper, ran out of paint striper and pressure washer with sandblasting attachment isn't as effective as I'd hoped. Pretty tempted to just bath it in brake fluid LOL!

Did your engine get rebuilt before it went in? Ej20t will need a lot more work! And parts

I'm with Paul, either go for the EJ25 or stick with the EJ22 for 2 years, then upgrade to a newer, already turbo'd vehicle. Oh, and you'll have to wash the bar pretty damned thoroughly to get brake fluid off - it's extremely stubborn stuff. Maybe some turps or something would strip it off... EDIT: Give me a yell when/if you do want the EJ25...

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

to get more power out of the ej25 you're gonna have to lose those uneven length extractors...

as al said while i was at AM auto... the boxer rumble is the sound of an inefficient exhaust.

You really think its worth any noticible power increase? NA Ej engines don't really respond at all to mods. About the only thing that will make even a slight difference is higher compression and if you were stupid perhaps a tune.

yeah i'd rather have a decent engine note then 2kw more power. my ej22 seems to have worn in a bit or unclogged it self cause its going pretty sweet, althought im still sending smoke signals to china  ej25 in a gen1 your car sounded pretty decent i'l get a zorst done similer to yours when/if i get one.

i noticed a big difference in the power band (all 70kw of it) when switching between the factory and aftermarket uneven length headers... i'm not sure that the tuned length extractors would make that much difference from the standard extractors though...

The extractors helped the engine breath a little better. As a consequence it made a little more torque. If you used a tuned length style manifold on an EJ20-22-25 you'd most probably loose all the bottom end torque, due to the drop in back pressure.

Didn't you get your header pipes remade or was it just a 2.25" catback and hiflo cat? Its sounds pretty nice
