Now we think about it, it's truly amazing how Bronte never ran away, from either of our properties.
Will keep you posted on fence building adventures

Interesting. Who bought them?
My chainsaw is a Shindawa.

Firstly, the property has no fences whatsoever. We decided to enclose the backyard so that when we leave the house each day, we know the dog won’t be able to escape until it knows that home is home.
Dad and I did this ourselves using leftover parts from a 50m fencing job we did at our old place.

We don’t actually spend that much time out the back but with the new arrival I’m sure that will change. It was decided that a deck was to be built just outside the study doors and a pergola to be put up to provide a cover for all sorts of weather. Once again, if we are out and it starts pouring, the dog will now have somewhere to go

We hired builders to do this one!
Tuesday - Day 1

Wednesday - Day 2

Thursday - Day 3 (now with pergola frame)

Ugly pink lattice was torn down and these privacy slats were put in it’s place. Really lifts the look of it! You can see the gate on the far side so the yard can be completely enclosed.

There are still a few parts the builders are waiting on to complete the job which should arrive next week sometime.
Lastly, we had to cover up a sandpit that was riddled with fleas and creepy crawlies. Bronte used to love sitting in the sand on hot days but always came back so grubby and flea-infested. These pavers look great, cover up the nasty’s and still provide somewhere cool for the dog to rest.

Picked up a load of firewood, half has been split* and stacked.
Picked up a small load of pavers.
*to 'split' this wood I used a chainsaw
