Hi,

Man needs a shed. Top work.

Cheers,
Nik

Absolutely right.

Nice work Morgs! Need to that to mine badly. There is just so much clutter in mine.

Our garage has been stuffed for about 2-years now. The cables snapped, it fell on my Lib twice and the motors rooted. I think its older than I am, so time for a replacement. Apparently we're getting a new one real soon my folks said...can't wait to park on level ground again!

I've always been quietly jealous of your property Morgs. Love it.
Sucks the Outback hasn't got a home though. I cry myself to sleep if my B4's not parked in the garage. :P

Thanks mate. Would be nice if it was a bit bigger (only 1.75ac) but the maintenance is hectic enough as is!

The left over kitchen cupboards have been made into some makeshift shelves (pictures 2 and 4) and now with them there, the Outback wont fit :(
Well I havent tried but it was a tight squeeze without them there!

Outback is tough. She'll be right

I want to give one to my father in-law but can't decide which one to keep???

Thoughts?

Shindaiwa has a 18" bar and the Husky is 15". Both are in good mechanical order.

I had the chain tensioner bolt snap on one of those husky's. The chain flew around and I was really lucky to not lose a limb/face.

It was the second time it had been used and everything was tightened and lubricated up fine.

Took the saw back to the store and the guy was amazed, never seen or heard anything like it.
He replaced it straight up and gave us some free bar and chain lube.

Never had any issues since.

Hi,

Been a while.

Demolished a large BBQ a while ago, just left it as sand for too long. Finally ponied up, got some roll on and did it yesterday.

Posted Image

Had a tiny bit left over, so thought I'd try and pretty up the door to my brewery (this isn't in public view); Hoping it'll grow out, wondering what I can do to finish off the PA door surround??

Posted Image

Cleaned up and planted some summer herbs, basil baby... basil.

Posted Image

Did a little screen off from the front entrance;

It's September, I know a few of you are thinking about spring garden projects!!!

Nik

I am, first we need a house! Found one we like though which is good! No gardens or landscaping around, I'd have to fix that!

Good shit Niko. My whipper snipper gave up on life about a month ago.

Found a wicked new one at bunnings and through the combined power of a sale price, a $20 gift card I got for my birthday back in Feb and the incompetence of Bunnings staff to enter stock at the right price I ended up getting a $229 whipper snipper at $139.

Good score.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I have a 1978 Monaro for lawn choppage duties. I'll get some pics later. Needs a detail though......and a new plug as she's misfiring pretty bad at the moment.

Sig worthy.

Gave the lawn a full cut on the weekend, handnt been mowed in at least a month. And was super thick. Had also been mowed by a ride on, so heaps of crap build up, making it even thicker.

Had to now twice, once on highest setting, no catcher, then went down to a lower height

(finally have a lawn to mow to participate in this thread :P)

Kikyu grass? Yes?

I have it.

It's like thick carpet, but grows like fcuk in warm wet weather and will run up your leg if you stand in one spot for too long.

Looks good.

BTW a std double garage is 6m x 6m IIRC. (mine is 6x9 ;) )

Correct! It's pretty wild at the moment! But should come good. It's already starting to green up! Just needs a bit more work!

I thought that was the std size! 7.5x7.5 is good enough for me :D

Ignoring shed sizes.

Did actually feel like a beer, but didn't have time. Was busy doing other things around the house!

Brush cutter = Whipper snipper? I have one but the fuel lines are perished, so need to get them fixed. Possibly buy a new one.

Hi,

Brush cutter is a whipper snippers big brother.

To be fair you'd only need a snip, if you're looking at cheap options - ECHO is the best I've found. If I have a worker for seasonal work (a month or two) I just buy one of them and let them run it into the ground. Rinse and repeat. Usually costs me around $350 for an easy start straight shaft - 2 stroke though... so you pretty much want to run it dry if it's going to sit for a while.

Cheers,
Nik

I borrowed dads one, i forget the brand, but it's got a 4 stroke Honda motor, an it's one of the ones with the interchangeable heads, awesome to use, and easy to change the line. Considering dropping some coin on one instead of my car.

Hi,

I have a four stroke Honda with a bicycle arm, and a 2 stroke Stihl - which is a four stroke motor but takes two stroke fuel (you might remember me moaning about it). The stihl, now that I've put the right fuel in it, is an animal. Cuts through twice the thickness of my finger easily just with line! I don't think I'll ever need the blade.

But the Honda is awesome. Has been a soldier.

Now, for an update from me!

Check post #165 ....

BAM! Looking good!!

I figure if I spend some decent coin on one, it will last ages, and it will just be easier to use!

Hi,

THANKS! A bit of Thrive does wonders... :D

ECHO shouldn't be considered a 'cheap' option - I seriously rate them. I'm talking two/three months of 8 hours a day on full rev. Which is why they run out of puff.

Even if I bin it (I don't I give it to the local Lions club) it's only cost me around $2 an hour in running time for it's life.

Cheers,
Nik
