[hijack] only just noticed that. don't mind a neat XE ESP. with a not-so-factory 351. Needs at least a gilmer drive :) and a nice and standard body. don't be hatin' Jason :P oh hai [/hijack]

[morehijack] HA! Nearly bought a 302 4sp ESP instead of the coupe. Bloody fine car. Yes, a nice 351 but no gilmer. Hatin' that sound. [/morehijack]

Chris, get some 3000k HID's for your fogs. Anything else will be crap. 3000k is yellow and will cut through fog nicely :)

Booyah!!

Just bit the bullet and ordered the Double DIN conversion kit from Japanparts.com...

Posted Image

It's going to be fun installing it all. Here's hoping that delivery doesn't take too long.

So far I'm thinking that I'd like to keep the rear cargo area as empty as possible. As such I'd like the Amp under the front passenger seat. I haven't had a proper look under there yet, so I hope it fits and there isn't anything under there that will hinder installation.
I've got a slimline Cadence Sub, with the angled part of the box conveniently aligning flush with the angle on the back of the rear seat and the carpet colour also matching. I plan to setup the wiring and mounting so that the Sub can be easily removed and the wiring tucked away for when I need to fold the seats down.

I'll keep you posted of any updates.

What on earth are you talking about Paul? That's just silly. Can you at least try to be little bit constructive if you're going to continue to post on here?

A small evolution for the wagon... 6000k HID's are installed. Received the Double DIN conversion kit from Japanparts and installed the Pioneer HU. Lucky me, I plugged in the adapter loom that I used for the RX and it fired up straight away! I didn't have to rewire anything. So far I'm just running the OEM speakers off the headunit and haven't attempted connecting the Amp and Sub yet. The sound is that much better just from the addition of the Pioneer unit that I'm considering not even hooking the OEM speakers up to an Amp. I might just go for a Mono block to power the sub. The conversion kit is sweet.. Pics to come.
