Yes the LED strip comes with some 3M tape on the underside and just pastes right on. Could look good in the footwell (if a little bright?).

HIDs are Mars Performance brand. They go by the name Mars Warehouse on eBay. They cost a bit more than other brands but I went with them because in all the ballasts I've purchased over the years, not one of them has gone wrong so I figured its worth the money. If you want a cheaper alternative - look at the link Chris posted just at the top of this very page.

cool thanks, yeah i wouldn't mind spending a bit extra for some that i dont have to worry about catching alight and melting looms!

also, footwell lighting would be hooked up to dome light so fades off, i have been reading wiring diagrams for way too long but i think i have finally worked it out.

Also; how hard is it to plug those led strips in? I like them at the bottom of the door like that.

Time for a bit of a monthly update; car is going very well and its had a few little additions to it.

1. I got a little LED strip off Leo (Liberty.asn Vendor) to put under the door:

Did you wire these up to the courtesy light?

^Yup, if you look closely in the pic, you'll see a thin wire going under the cover of the light.

Its plug and play Nik :) Just take the cover off and attach them to the connectors inside.

Silicone is the work of Satan.

Automotive Polyurethane sealant would be the gold standard sealant to use.

Silicon will peal as well.
Use some sikaflex, can even get it in blue if you're really anal. about $25 a tube and works really well. You will need some prepsol or any wax and grease remover to tidy it up too.

Monsoons:

Installation was infinitely easier compared to the Gen2, due to the Gen3's 'snap on' clips. Took me the best part of 10-minutes and is sealed solid! :)

As for whats next? Considering exhaust + CAI options. Perhaps a different set of rims. But gonna stay put for a while. Real happy with where the car is right now!

Got the car a set of new shoes! 17" inch wheels off a 2009 Forester XT:

They're good, I get to keep the tall-ish softroader profile tyres but still get a sporty look off the turbo Forester.

They're 225/55 series tyres, so yeah a bit chunkier!

Haven't seen what difference its had on the speedo but I'll check it on the motorway going to Hooters tomorrow.

Rims look good Shiv, now it just needs more slammed on its arse FTW! B)

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Got them brand new from Subaru. Cost $184.00 if I remember correctly, and they came with 3M double sided tape already attached and ready to fit.

...and yes, they look good with the tint! Came in extra handy on our last cruise driving through the rain up a couple of mountains with the air-con turned off for maximum power.
