The lib is doing great progress, 1 more day of work for the boys over at AMAuto and Ill have it by the weekend.
Recommend to anyone in QLD looking to do a conversion, If Sam reads this, these are the boys that made the custom dash mount gauges above the glovebox.

Woah how much did that cost??? PS. Can I buy a single headlight off you instead of the pair? Only need the passenger side one.

  • Had to relocate the turbo up high on a twist mount because as it was, it was fouling up on the frame and some cables. As far as we can work out its because the silver car use to be an AUTO and it had a different layout around the turbo. So now Its a little bit different but hey, looks better this way!
  • Had to relocate the POD as I'm missing my guard linings on the drivers side so to prevent the pod from getting damaged/sucking in shit, Its had to move to up high in the engine bay.
  • Disconnect surge tank in boot as it was very unsafe as the rubber fuel lines were running through the cabin running over sharp metal joins. And now have an upgraded fuel pump to compensate.
  • new FMIC setup to suit REV D front bar
Very happy with the build so far, only cost me about $2500 so far few interior pieces left to be re-installed. Old NA motor was bought for around $500 aswel so I feel asif im winning and saving myself alot of hassle doing it all myself. I know you learn and get an understanding of how things work but that's what you do when stuff breaks ;)

just received my eboost2 :D
No boost controller in it ATM because the old owner took it out to put in his xr6t but i managed to snake it back off him for $100, pretty good when the retail for $600 new.
Now I can get on a dyno and wind the boost back up to a safe 20psi to see those 400+hp figures.

Car was tuned today at Godzilla Motorsports, unfortunately when we got it on the dyno we found out the haltech was locked to another tuner down the coast, so we still had a good tune but it was 2 odd years old.
On the plus side its making atm 260kW @ 18psi ATW and with a retune would make much more with ease!

Now my question is do I leave it as is and stay in the very safe area or save up roughly 2grand over the next few months and get a newer vipec ecu and go from there chasing the acclaimed 440hp it once ran.

pffft is that all?

:P

Good stuff Jake, how's she drive?

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

440hpatw or flywheel? What you already have would equate to 440 at the fly

440atw
drives awesome, haven't had a chance to drive it in the dry yet but i can tell you its scary to drive in the wet, 4 wheels spin in 3rd gear with ease.

Yeah I was going to say, for a Subaru that is already respectable... more than most people that work on their cars achieve. Granted you did have a head start haha.

That's a big mofo turbo. Lots of changes with the QLD crew :) a couple more happening in the near future too. I am happy with mine as it is... keeps me out of trouble... and debt... lol.
