Yes I think a tad too dark also atm. Repaint lower body color perhaps.....
Tyres are 215/45/18. Due to the higher profile, stretch is very minimal.

I think its as the wheels are gloss black. Matt wouldnt stand out as much. Still Id like to repaint if I keep them on for a while.

Auto and all related hardware removed. 
My planning to have 2 weeks to do the task at my own leisure as the car is not required is paying off with a few minor hiccups with a snapped bolt and cross threaded hole. No issue, I'll grab the easy outs and a tap from work tonight.
Last night I also bought a mint set of 17 x 7.5 +48 BBS LM's. Reversing the centres on these will give me approx a +32 so some very nice dish and will fit under the arches.
They are my preferred look and WILL be the last set of wheels on the Outback. Its set #11.
