Hehe, love how cheap stuff is. If it were subaru-spec that'd be $1200.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

If you need to know any part numbers the boss used to be the second hand parts man for Toyota, he knows all the part numbers off the top of his head.

The issue could be a combination of fan and radiator core

Noticed this afternoon it doesn't have a fan shroud.

Might help on highways. As I said before, it doesn't overheat at all around town. Even in traffic it sits at a bit less then halfway. The only time it heated up was on the drive back.

Shaz don't bother with the shroud, just wire in a thermo fan.

If you are sure it's not a head gasket, pull the radiator out and get it cleaned and tested by a radiator joint, replace the cap and thermostat, flush the system and test the water pump.

Xon, why thermo fans?
Isn't this just masking a problem? Plus, there is no overheating in traffic so thermos would just block airflow when on the highway.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Yeah I would have thought a thermo fan would do three fifths of Posted Image all on the highway, if you have air flowing through the radiator .... then just that...you have airflow through the radiator, thermo fans are more to create airflow where there is none.

Eggzachary.

For example, my commodore has one fan, an electric one and it cuts out at 54kph.

I wasn't suggesting it'd fix the problem, just that it'd be better than a crank driven fan.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

Yeah, i'll bang it out on friday, and blast a hose through it, and see what comes out.

Make a trip to Autobarn and buy $3.71 worth of oil, spark plugs, thermostat and radiator cap.
