If you are going to be running a tune for both, get the ultimate tune done first, and then fill up on E85, and run the second tune like that. Dont get the E85 map made for a full tank of just E85, as you will always have some residue 98 RON fuel in the tank (if you switch between them, likely you will have about 10L of 98 left in the tank when you put in the E85). If its tuned for full E85, the extra 10L of 98 will drop the octane level and you will get some knock.

Its not just when you have the foot flattened that you will have worse fuel consumption. Do some reading man. I think from memory you use 30 - 50% more fuel, all the time.
http://hioctaneracin...t-e85-fuel.html

Just remember that yours will be tuned with a much higher safety tolerance than a race car would, so you probably wont see the 30% increase they are talking. Probably closer to 15%.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

That would of put my budget up another 10k.. I have used allot of parts out of the front cut including the 6 speed..

Plus then i would be looking at a clutch worth 2.4k etc etc etc.. prob a 30 k build ? in a 5k car.. :)

You guys got a link to this ??? Sounds awesome..

Edit... Is this him ??

http://www.motorspor...lutch/index.htm

Anyone got opinions on turbos.. This is the one iv been recommended..

http://www.avoturbo....rger-p-736.html

When speaking to him yesterday he also said the stock V7 ECU may struggle over 300kw.. His solution was a link ECU at $2800..

Dunno, whats there to bugger up in the ECU? It's not going to mechanically fail, seems to me he is up-selling parts to you so you buy them. ECU should handle anything provided its tuned well enough. Plus the stock one will read EVERYTHING, not just what the tuner wants it to read, which translates to harder for him to tune, and more safety margins for you.

Have you looked into Garrett or Precision turbos?

Have you looked for any if these items on ebay? You just might be surprised in some of the prices.

Don't touch AVO.

Nugget turbos.

I've heard a few reports that the poorly casted exhaust housings are quite prone to cracking.

I loved my potato (GT2860RS).

I need more info on what im looking for with these..

Not sure if i need internal or external wastegate ( I know the difference but unsure which way to go, I do want a small BOV noise so im assuming internal .. ) ... A V band clamp or 4 bolt ? Housing size ? Been searching but unsure what works best with subys..

Any info greatly appreciated as its a pretty expensive part.. SO i dont wanna buy the wrong thing.

Thanks Vice.
