Why are the rears only 277?? Im not sure about the GTB's but the B4 has 290mm Rears as stock.

Gen2 GTB rear calipers are the same as GT 277mm calipers, but have different backing plates to make them suit a 290mm rotor. Fitting the calipers alone to anything other the Gen2 GTB will see them only suiting 277mm rotors, but they are vented.

60:40?

So its mainly FWD, or did you get it backwards?

By "Its not a lock diff" I presume you mean its an open center? :P

40:60 then...

either way... it's a 40 - 60 split with more power going to the rear...

and yeh, its a regular old RX open centre diff...

How are them teins going? Not too rough on the road?
Thought about an outback front bar colour coded? It would look errrm different

i was talking to shiv about that a few nights ago...

that was something i'd been thinking about for a while...

i guess if i hate it then i can just put the GX bar back on...

and i'm sure teh outback bumpers would be easier to source than RX kits...

the teins are alright... though one of them is still knocking and al reckons it was half seized up...

i spoke to fulcrum (who service the teins) and IIRC it was about $300ish per strut...

not cheap...

but worth it i guess... cos then it's like i have new tein coilovers for $1900 ($700 original cost)

i'll probably do the whole lot...

though, having said that... the place that sold them to me gave me a warranty... it's run out, but i called them and told them before it ran out that i was having problems and he said to just bring it in when i can

i called him on my way back from bris, but they closed at 4pm so i couldn't get there in time...

but he said to take the car in when i can and they'll check it out...

They're no where near as uncomfortable as I assumed they would be. Quite tolerable actually...its only once you get on the bad surfaces that you really feel it. Small price to pay for big abilities in the corners though....shame his tyres aren't fully up to the job but thats an easy fix.

I didn't think it was possible to be both sarcastic and retarded at the same time. Thanks for opening my eyes Jovan.

teins are fine, as you said. as soon only when you hit the roadworks does everything feel like a earthquake. me teins are set to full stiffness and it felt more comfortable then tristans car which is on soft. might be cause super streets are better for that kind of stuff/his are fugged i dunno.

he didn't want to put the AFRs on the dyno graph cos it shows how he tunes...

load of crap IMO...

the AFR sits around 13 for most of the chart... (running rich because it's safer iirc)

and it spikes up to 14 (maybe even richer) just before 4000rpm because he was worried about it pingging during the cutover from avls...

IMO it probably needs a retune by someone who tunes NAs... like a honda tuner or something... if it was leaned out and more timing pulled (and had a better flowing exhaust) it should make closer to 160kwatw

Sounds like he's tuning a turbo...

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

he's a turbo tuner...

that's why i've got to take it to someone who does NA motors... (preferably hondas, so he/she can tune the vtak properly)

Or get a standard ECU and sell the Vipec.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

standard ecu means i have to re-add a bunch of sensors to the motor, get a gen4 key barrel and key (programmed from subaru for god knows how much) and have the car re-wired... and i'm sure there are other things (maybe al can back me up here) too, that make it less viable than using a wire-in ECU... it just worked out to be a lot easier to run a wire-in ECU than the standard ECU...
