What sort of economy are you getting now Chris?
Have you had any issues with the EPA recently?
Or have you taken the advice of the highly educated RTA attendant?
Good economy.. Better than when I bought it.
No EPA issues at all.
SIF I'd even ask an RTA attendant ANYTHING....
Alex, that post was pure gold....

How many Km's have you done in the last month Chris?
I reckon I must have done at least 1000km.
Wonder how many Tristan has done?

the car is engineered now, took it to Hitman tuning and he returned it a week (and $1k) later with emissions passed (it passed the emissions for 2005, although it only needed to pass the ones for 1997) and ready to go [i wish i had done this sooner, and it again shows my lack of research regarding this project (which has done nothing but cost me more money)].
took it to the engineer 2 days later, and got the defect removed and the rego updated on the same day.
took the car to WSID the following saturday (they were having some all day street drags that day) and ran a best of 14.34 with a 95MPH (IIRC)
i have since done anything else with the car, and won't be, till i've payed off at least a large portion of my loan.
however i did buy a new front bar for it a while back, that i'm still waiting on from japan.
and it's still having issues with the gearbox being munted... it feels as though a mount is broken/damaged/loose... but other than that, she's apples!
also, went for a drive in the city on saturday with Joe, who was reasonally impressed with the car... which made me smile
and... yeh... that's it
edit: regarding fuel economy, which seems to be the last topic of discussion on this thread, it still runs rich when it's cold, and as such isn't getting great economy seen as i only drive it the 5 minutes to the station in the morning and the 5 minutes back at night...
but i daresay it'd be much better after the last tune by hitman...
future work for the car includes:
getting the paint fixed when the bar arrives, and a have money...
get the suspension sorted with swaybars and links etc
get the problem with the gearbox sorted out (find out what's broken and repair it)
get car retuned
maintain car, and drive it till i get my full licence in 18 months (minus the next 3 months where i will be losing my licence for speeding) and will look into turbo(or super)charging it...

nice! i showed some friends your tunnel run on youtube, they liked the sounds of the h6
so did anyone driving a suby in the city on saturday who got whiplash trying to look at my car, wondering what was in it!
it's probably the best thing about the engine... the sound it makes

makes me want a h6 outback with tuned lenght zorst mmmmmmmmm
the gen3 outback sounds different, and you can't get tuned length extractors for it, because the ez30d uses dual exhaust outlets, one for each head... instead of an individual one for each cylinder... so you're stuck with the sound it makes out of the box... all you can do it make it louder...
also, the ez30d is only 155kw only 40 more than an RX... and a properly sorted RX will whip a gen3 outback...

people always say to the NA brigade that they should get their suspension sorted and they should be able to keep up with a stock rexxie... how is a gen3 outback any different??
the H6 motor isn't a massive powerhouse, it's more of a GT motor... though boost may well fix that, we'll have to see...
where is this so called clip i wanna hear it?
