sounds like your not holding fuel pressure in the lines.

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

What part of the car controls this? It seems to hold pressure in the tank as when you undo the fuel cap it releases.

What would be the easiest way to check the pressure in the lines?

Could I have maybe not put a line back on right?

My car takes 2 starts to get going, I have to crank it once and then start it. Been told it could be the primer, so similar symptoms to fuel pressure issues.

When I felt that priming the fuel pump help it appears it may not help it. As just tonight I tried priming around 4 times before starting and it still didnt start untill the 3rd crank.

I really don't understand what could be causing this. Its not a big problem as long as its not affecting the car at all. But would be nice to figure this one out. I was told it could be the immobiliser but I started it with a key that doesnt have the right chip in it and started but cut out after a sec or so.

New fuel pump coming anyway as I didnt trust the WRX one and my Lib one isn't strong enough.

Could it have anything to do with not having the fuel filter in the engine bay? I have the one in the tank....

Are you sure it's not the regulator you are missing in the engine bay? Could be getting too much fuel. Try removing the fuel/return lines one by one and priming into a bucket. Could also try swapping the fuel/return lines as you may have them the wrong way around. The standard liberty pump should be more than capable - I'm still running the standard outback pump on my gtb and never had any issues even on wot.

The car seems to be running fine once started, The 2,000rpm bog down is gone as that was a issue with the TPS. The car runs fine on the Liberty Fuel Pump as I took it for a drive.

The only problem I am having now is the car won't start first crank, takes 3-4 to start up. I was thinking is was a fuel pressure problem as a few times of priming the fuel pump made it start easier. But I did this method again last night and it didnt help at all.

Pretty much first crank it sounds like no fuel as it cranks but doesn't fire, 2-3 crank it starts to want to fire as you can hear the motor starting up but then dies before running. then around the 4th crank it starts up with no problems as idles fine while it warms up. I have been searching through google trying to find what the problem could be but have had no luck so far.

Well I have changed my fuel pump out for one of these, Was told by Al that they are better for the GEN3's as its a straight fit.

20130715_180921_zpsd643575d.jpg

Finished it up and primed it a few times, tried starting it and now it wont start at all. It is possible I have flooded the motor?? After cranking it a few times it seem that my problem might be the battery. As it started not to crank very well after a few times, put a volt meter on the battery and it now reads under 12v

So now I am charging the battery it and leaving it for a few hours then try again in case I have flooded it. It is possible I have a leaky injector or something that is causing it to flood?

Pulled the lines, top lines fuel comes out straight away. Middle is the return line right? and bottom is the vap?

So fuel is coming out right away, not really sure what the problem is other than maybe the battery isnt good so its not sparking enough maybe?

Now the car refuses to start, Im at a loss of what is wrong with it.

Okay got some time to take some pics of the car how it sits at the moment, Not real happy with the FMIC piping or having to cut the front bumper. Will either go back to TMIC or get some custom piping made so I can get a new front bumper and keep my foggies. Think it look more neat with the foggies, the piping sits to far out to cover with a mesh like I was planning.

This is how the muffler looks, got the exhaust made up. looks like stock RX

Well done.

I don't think the piping is that bad.

Well I do need to fix up the section after the turbo. Its meant for the twin turbo B4's. So its hooked up the same as the top mount would be, it uses the piping the top mount uses.

Maybe plumbing the pod filter into the guard would give you less intake noise? Although that's how mine is setup and you can definitely hear it.

I was going to say - It looks like the scarles twin turbo piping... Have you just capped the 'primary turbo' end?

Aside from that I think the way you have done it looks great. Are you sure you cant fit some dark mesh in from of the pipework? Looks doable to me.

Nice and clean job!
