Victims of crime compensation have to pay those bills!
There has to be a record of some form and the cops ,who attended, MUST lodge a report to ALL call outs they attend wether the offender is apprehended or not!

should call ACA or Today tonight or one of those prime time shows. get some media attention on it, spread the word of the failings of the police department to report an assault like this.
public opinion is a very strong thing. once something like that gets some attention, people get up in arms at both the government and police force at their failures to perform their civic duties, especially in light of drunken assults these days, and the police force and government go into damage control, will make some people jump thats for sure.
I know its probably a case of too little too late, but it may be worth a shot i think

Cops will be here soon, the people I KNOW are who are coming out. They are on our side. A lot of other things happened on Saturday in the region.
We'll sort it.

4 cops, a meatwagon and a patrolly. I'd very much doubt they all had Sunday and Monday off together... Pretty poor form, but if the incident didn't register on mainframe there might be a reason for it?

I'm not really thinking about calling a media outlet, at this stage I just want to make sure that this is all recorded, especially as the constabulary have submitted their proposal for the new liquor act to increase the responsibility on licensees when things like this happen. If they get their submission through, what occurred on Saturday would be legally our FAULT.
