Definitely a custom job, I think the only conjecture is if it had tooling or was a complete one off.

See the 84 Lotus Esprit turbo? The service manager at the vauxhall dealership I worked at had an 88 model esprit turbo. It spent 98% of its time on the spare hoist in the corner of the workshop. Hahaha went like stink when it worked though. And bugger me it got attention.

Haha, so true. All I've done is suspension and bin lids as a 'non essential' expenditure. The tail lights were cheaper than OEM when I got reversed into, the HID's were second hand upgrade and again, cheaper than OEM replacement... The grille was bugger all off of CruisnMark.... and my latest purchase will cost me about $80 all up.
Back then I think I spent $80 on a new S/tb badge.....!
Although on the suspension, the original stuff was pretty shagged so I guess that's the same story as well.
Only 'dumb' purchase has been the wheels, and maybe the better brake pads?
