I was drilling out that 2.5m bit of metal to attach a bracket, and it slipped and the metal was about to hit my car, so I grabbed it, right where I was drilling, and burnt myself.

Rookie error.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Car > Life .. right?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Finished the crane. It has 2 pivot points in the middle if you decide you want a higher shot. It's not perfect, but it should work fine. Now I just need to get the camera / weights ratio right for ultra smooth panning. The camera base plate may need a cross bar for better support, but I'll see how it goes. It also has a pulley system so you can go high, but still keep the centre of focus on the object on the ground and visa versa.

Took some footage on the crane this morning. But, none of it turned out good. My own fault, I was using a 50mm 1.8 lens and everything was blurry. I'd imagine it has its uses, but you definitely need to use a higher aperture unless you're using a remote follow focus and display screen so you can adjust the settings on the fly.

And it 100% needs the counterweights added. It's far to unstable at the moment.

I tried adding the following video to YouTube, which was successful. I used iMovie on my iMac and changed the aspect ratio from Widescreen (16:9) to Standard (4:3).

This is my video in question:

How do I stop the video from stretching?

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Yeah. The video was taken in portrait layout on my iPhone 4. I exported it onto my computer from my iPhone then imported via iMovie. I edited the clip to get the good stuff in it only and uploaded it directly via iMovie to YouTube. The movie has been stretched on the sides, not on the top or bottom.

It's not a big deal, but I just wanted to figure it out so I know what to do next time I upload something.

What program do you use to do your editing? Windows operating system I assume? And for you it leaves the edges blacked out right?

I tried to do what you did in iMovie. I normally use Final Cut Pro

I set the project to 4:3 and it automtically cropped it.

You set it to 4:3 before taking a clip out of the entire video? That's probably where I'm going wrong, doing it before the whole video is in 4:3.
