A new cover from a wreckers would be like $10. Drilling would be the neatest.

AC vent FTW. Zero visible cabling ;)

Good point actually... I will look into that... there is a pick and payless nearby...

I like my AC though... so will leave the vent as is... LOL!

I like my AC too. Which is why it still comes out of the vent even though there is a gauge there :)

Haha... I see... well I'm yet to do the wiring.. think I'd need a soldering iron, which I don't have.. so I think I will just mount it to the steering column plastic so it is easier to see too

Mine's mounted mine on the A pillar so I can still see all of the cluster. The wires and vac hose are easily hidden tucked under the trim. Just another option for your consideration.

If you want to put it on your column or cluster surround then go ahead and cut/drill into it mate. I have spares of both you can have if you ever want to return it back to stock.

If you do it right you probably won't want to or need to though.

Thanks Boss... will probably try to mount it on the steering column plastic, not on the cluster... It might block the fuel gauge a little, but I'll still be able to see it...

I like the A pillar idea too, but is it legal? I would also have to see if my gauge pod would mount on the pillar too, but does look neat... :)

dodgem car.

Now with boost!

"Legally" you can't have any gauges above the dash line. Jovi will argue this but rules are rules.

You'd have to have a pretty angry cop to ping you for it though...

Damn.. so where should the gauge be, legally?

But seriously... on the steering column plastic is still illegal? Is it because it is an obstruction when trying to view the cluster?

Just hook it up already.

Dumb law.
It's ok to have a GPS stuck on the windshield right in your line of sight or a schticky holding your giant phone but nooooooo....

Mine sits on the steering column, its a perfect spot for it.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

ive got mine mounted on the A Pillar right down the bottom, so its just sitting on the dash in the bottom corner, been through a fair few RBT's and that and never had them say anything about it.

like josh said, stupid that you can have a massive GPS mounted there yet not a boost guage

Yep I agree it's stupid. But the law is the law.

I think it's more directed towards VL drivers that whack 12" tachos on the dash. A cop would have to be in a bad mood to book you for a 52mm boost gauge!
