I honestly owe ALL my knowledge to Subaru forums and the Friends I have made through those forums. It really is amazing what a few years with constant helpful information/advice/tech threads...
Really is what it's all about. I am always in awe of the amount of knowledge that is available...

Same here... So many people know so much, so I'm bound to learn something here... and yeah, people are always willing to offer help or advice, so its all good... just takes time I guess... :)

He bought it new, genuine SLR5000.
Played around with the 308 for a bit then fitted a 202 turbo (back in the day when no one knew what one was) running more than 20psi with a carb. Tried blow through and draw through set ups and ended up with about 600hp but it kept splitting blocks.
Started the bog block build with a alloy headed LS7 but moved to the 479 Keith Black alloy block before the LS7 went in the car.

Thing is a work of art from an engineering standpoint.

I would have been at the same Summernats as you!
First was 6 and the last was 12. (I think as it was a while ago...)

Woe, as soon as you mentioned the Turbo Six, I remembered that too :D Was in Street machine Magazine in about 1986 I reckon.

Back to work...then a parts run, then re-assembly this evening :D

You must be an old fark like me.

AFAIK it's the only car to be on the cover of SM three times.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

So long as you sift through the crap that some people also post... you get a lot of people on forums who like to play cars but should stick to IT.

Most of the guys on this forum are pretty cooo though :D

SEOUL:North Korea appears to have moved a medium range missile capable of hitting targets in South Korea and Japan to its east coast, the South's Yonhap news agency reports.
The movement was detected by both South Korean and US intelligence, Yonhap said, citing military and government sources.

"We are closely monitoring whether the North moved it with a view to actual launch or just as a show of force against the US."

As long as they are high tensile 8.8 bolts, that would actually work. I would be making a sandwich plate to spread the load around that strut mount on the car body though...

Yeah this, especially about the plate to spread the load, doesn't make it any less chronically fagtacular though.

Hahaha..

They so sirry. We have a Korean chick who works in sales who comes into the office once or twice a week, she reckons her family that still live in South Korea pretty much don't even take any notice of the North any more haha.

But North Korea knows they will be in big trouble if they hit first, with the south plus the US coming down hard on them... so US might hit first, just coz they can...
