It's a shame that White Kong won't see another day but with the cost and hassle to do it I can understand why you made this decision. I'm just glad to have seen it at multiple meets.

Yes mate. It's just not practical for me to head down the conversion route again. I'd rather spend my time & money with my kids.

It's all good.

Shame but at some stage it comes time to make the decision and move on.

More time & money with kids is a worthy decision.

I guess shit got real, glad you're pulling the plug instead of chasing the rabbit down another hole of conversion.

+1 for there being better shit to spend money on...like beer...and hookers...and beer hookers.

Sad choice, but I understand it. I don't think I'd redo the B4 again if she dropped another motor. Shame to see WK die, but there comes a time when enough is enough.

Cheers,

Ben

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Thanks for the support lads.

It's not easy watching this car be pulled apart TBH but at the same time,  Whitekong isn't the sort of car you could sell and just be done with it.

If I did sell it as a whole there would be a long list of weird procedures and instructions to follow on how to keep it performing & running.

Some of you guys saw in action my aftermarket fuel pump security default procedure ......

"if the Fuel pump doesn't prime on startup, whack the dash in the right spot.... done".  That's just one of many little gremlins this beast had.

And.....I'd never hear the end of it with help requests from the new owner. It would be like I'm doing all the work and someone else is enjoying the rewards.

I never wanted anyone else to own her.  She'll always be mine and only mine.

In fact, the only person besides myself who drove Whitekong is Bumpty and that was only to move it 10 mtrs.

When you have to spend the same money to fix your car as it's honestly worth on the market......  decisions have to be made  ;)

So the funds for her have all but dried up and now it's time to try to get some of the cash I spent back.

I'm not going to lie,  she was a high maintenance car.

That B4 has been crying out of its mismatched eyes for long enough!

Sounds like a job for Kongman!

Save it Kongman!
