Wife looked at that and now thinks gold rims would look good on the Blue B4...

It would look alright. Don't think I've seen your rims in gold.
Your wifey needs to start her own profile hahaa
Haha... don't tempt her... she has started driving the B4 on her L's now... she likes the sound... but I'm going to quieten it down with Adam's HiTech exhaust... haha...
She might be on here one day... but I hope not...

It's been a big week. I have been spending a lot of time working on the car & here are some updates & pics.
Installed a new BOV on the weekend. Sounds well aggressive on full atmo so I backed it off to happy medium. I can't tell at this point if there is an increase or positive affect on performance as I now have a boost leak so I will sorting that out tomorrow. The vac line nipple was fouling on the manifold so I took to it with a grinder and said goodbye to one of the intercooler support bracket mounting points. The support bracket will also have to be modified as there is now one less hole to bolt it up.
Had a Rego inspection and passed without a problem. I was concerned there might be an issue with the coilovers and non matching engine numbers as I have not declared them to the RTA as of yet.
All in good time.
Rego wheels looked shit so I gave them a quick tidy up and coat of gold paint. I was considering keeping them on for the Hunter cruise as the car feels less bone shaking with the 17" 45 profile tyres compared to the 18" 40's.
My 18's scrub badly on the rear but I have borrowed a heat gun and with time permitting I will attempt to roll the guards over the next few days before HVC and chuck the 18's back on. I want to drop the rear height by about 50mm also so they sit nice and snug.
New heat wrap was put on the dump pipes and new turbo blankets were installed.. Heat soak has decreased in a big way. Whilst the intercooler was off I also applied some heavy duty industrial reflective silver ducting insulation tape to all areas possible.
Waiting for paint to dry on the intercooler shroud then it will be back in place after I give the fins a straighten up & a lick of black as well.
A new D1 Spec oil catch can ready to be installed hopefully tomorrow after I return from getting tint on my rear and 1/4 windows. Will be mounted next to the new Black top battery mount I'm hoping to receive before the cruise on Sat.
If the weather holds up I will be doing the clay bar & polish dance Wed or Friday. Not exactly looking forward to it but It's needed.
Carbon fibre wrap is on route from China & more silicone from USA hopefully arriving this week.
I still have a few things I wanted done before the cruise but time will decide if they get done. Not that important but would be nice to have it all out of the way.

Looks great Josh!
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

Lol, see those 4 bolts on top of the BOV? If you had undone them, and rotated the top part by 90 degrees, you would not have needed to break out the grinder. At least that was the case with my GFB bov.

OMG! are you serious, the top comes off? Oh man, I had the same problem, didnt use a grinder but had to carefully run the vac line.

Yeah I thought as much but I didn't want to mess with it and risk getting a leak and I have too much to do ATM.

Good work brother!
Cheers mate.
I'm going through a motivated phase lately. The heat wrap was a kent. Next time I do anything like that I'll take the pipes off and do it with room to move.
I tried to save time by doing it on the car and it ended up taking ages and I hurt my back in the process

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

It's just one of those things. Looks like a tidy job anyway.
Keep at it mate. I love all the little fine details in your engine bay.
You can usually tell when some turkey that has no idea has been working on something.
I don't get that feel from the pictures you have posted up. Good stuff
