Mate, to save you alot of hassle I would save a little more cash and do a bit more searching for a revision D model RX,

(2001-2002) you can pick them up for about 6ish grand and trust me, you will just have a lot more luck with them.

I agree. Wait and find a later model RX. The extra half litre makes a lot more difference than you think. And I always regretted not getting the slightly later model.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

RX, rev D and manual? It's sounding nice.

Ask the seller about the log book history.

Price is neg. so I'm sure you could get it for at least $5,500.

Good luck mate, just be patient ;)

The price of RX's these days kills me inside.... Makes it all that easier to modify the shit out of mine seeing as it's now almost worthless.

Pretty much, huh. I think I've spent what my car is worth on repairs and mods over the last 2 years.

down the drain lol  :sarcastic:

(Turbo conversion, 3 engine builds, multiple custom exhausts, 3 turbos, a couple of custom front mounts, haltech ecu, ems ecu, different coilovers and suspension set ups, fuel system, etc etc + lots of cosmetic changes over the years like wheels and stuff)

It's only a 2.0L. A very slow engine.

That depends on how you look at it. It spins very fast to achieve the same result :P

Also with regard to the price of cars, when I was looking at these over 2 years ago they were around 9k, B4's around 15k. I would likely have trouble shifting my B4 for 10k these days. Depreciating assets, also why I would never buy new, or spend more than about 25k on a car. That blue one looks the goods for a first car. I thought all RX had a momo wheel, but easily fixed.

Low klms != good condition all the time. Just looking at that I wouldn't go near it for $9k. No offence to the owner...
