Roger. My mate is organising the Gas...he knows what to get. He is getting Oxygen too, so I'll get to play with the Oxy torch soon too.
Not a TIG capable machine unfortunately, but we'll go halves in one eventually. Once the Sled and his Drag Chev are finished, he is going to build a '32 ford Hot rod...and has an HG ute to project on too. I'm looking forward to this.
Sounds like your in the right hands, better of getting a dedicated TIG anyway pete, High frequency ac/dc will be the goods, good for alloy 
also sounds like a cool list of projects

Did you find new panels? I thought the HQ race car series had made parts/panels really quite hard to find?
I forgot there is an RD350 do be restored too
These are projects for the next 2 - 5 years.

never posted in one of these before... but i absolutely ate a hawkeyed WRX today... 3 sets of lights and on the 3rd one he didnt realise the b4 was all powerful... so i reminded him 
loved how he got away from me, but i reeled him in on the secondary like a dog on one of them retractable leash' hahah
1st 1990 Nissan Pulsar Q. What a rocket!
2nd: Gen 2 RX... Loved and lost...
3rd: 1995 Toyota Corolla which drove from Cairns to Bunbury in 5 Days! 6610km!!! didnt miss a beat.
4th: Gen1 GX bought for $500 went like stink... looked like what caused the stink
5th: More civilized now... with a Heritage Wagon... now gone...
6th Mitsubishi KJ Verada..."its nothing like a suby" now gone...
7th: 2002 B4 Liberty TT....

These are projects for the next 2 - 5 years.
rarespares have heaps of the rust replacement panels, some of them a bit tricky to work out what actual part of the car they come from.
im starting from the front of the cab and gonna work my way back, so i just ordered these wiper cowls and i'll pick up some 1mm metal later on and do a few patches around the area

these also suit my bonnet better then the stock one tonner ones did, as that raised section is further out
