+1 on Nik comment.

Mech. In Oil and Gas.
Aurecon are one of our main rivals...

And yes, I should buy a Gen 4. Soon. :)

You work for UGL? The stuff you hear about Aurecon, positive or negative from a non-bias point of view?

Very nice.

I can't believe you are missing MDSC though Walts...

Yeah, doing an Adam and being a shit bloke.

They starting building my house yesterday:

I assume it will be finished next week at this rate. Don't they just tilt up some plywood sheets and wack on a roof and then, BAM, house?

At GPA. Well they are our rivals in Adelaide anyway.

Compete for a lot of Santos work.

Aurecon do great work from what I've seen. Haven't really heard anything bad from them.

How long has it taken to get it to that stage? And what are you building?

Took my parents about a year and a half to build a three-storey house. In saying that, we are doing landscaping and a few renovations of our own to this day. House was built about two years ago if my memory serves me correctly.

And whereabouts is your new house? No need to give me specifics. The area, judged from the background, looks familiar. I may be way off though.

Took my parents about a year and a half to build a three-storey house.

It has taking about 4 months, from when we bought the land. Have to do so many selections and other stuff before they actually start work.

Just building a single story, 3 bedroom house. Pretty simple.

They think it will take around 5 months to build.

My 'rents built a couple of years ago and it took about 12 months. But that was double story.

Friend of mine took nearly 2 years from paying the deposit to moving into their 4 bedroom 3.5 bathroom single storey house... and still, they don't have fences around their house yet... lol... also, the cost kept going up and up

Radalaide.

Yup.

Western suburbs near Glenelg and the beach.

But since I'm pretty much the only person from SA on SubyClub, that wouldn't mean much to you blokes. :D

Oh do they ever.

I wouldn't suggest building for your first home. (although we got a good grant)

There are so many extras to pay for. I Think our variation bill is over 30k now...

80% of Santos sites are in SA. So that's probably why. :D

I know one of the big wigs at Aurecon.

We manage his accounts. There is actually 3 asian blokes that run the Australian Division. Exceptionally well loaded.

To the point that I let him smoke a cigar in my meeting room at my branch.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

That's not too bad. You'll soon be moving in then. That'll be awesome. Starting off the new year in a brand new house.

Yup.

Western suburbs near Glenelg and the beach.

I was way off. It looks like a suburb near me in Sydney... :P

There's been one or two new members that have joined up from South Australia in the past couple of months. I'm sure they'd be keen for a meet, but there may just be the three of you, ha ha.

Does that mean you can put in a good word for me and push through my resume to the top of the list? As I said, it was only an expression of interest application I filled out as they haven't advertised for anything I'm qualified for yet...
