I don't know much about teh workings. But Jesse had no BOV on his Gen2 TT, not seen this on a B4 though. Don't think its recommended.

(edit: was a response to a post regarding total removal of BOV)

fitted mine tonight with the help of cam (guy is a legend) its pretty loud on full atmo but toned back to 50/50 its good and can go full plumb back for the stealth approach.

+1 to good product

for anyone else's reference i also had to rotate the housing to clear the manifold easy job though 4 allen key bolts

BOV is unrelated to transmission Zac. You too can make noise with an aftermarket BOV!

Driving normally in the auto, it doesn't spool as much before the gears change, so the BOV wouldn't be very loud would it?

You would be surprised. I set mine to full recirc because it got annoying going off before every gear change just putting around town. Primary comes on boost very quick.

If you tension up the spring a lot, it'll just go choo choo choo and not actually open unless you build up a lot of boost to overcome the spring tension.

Hey guys. Ive got the gfb t9000 and ive just installed it. Should i still be running the restrictor pill that sits between the manifold and standard recirc valve? Ive also taken out the tee piece for the vac line that goes to hose 10 and ran hpse 10 directly to the plastic inlet

Right thanks Duncamn, i just installed my gfb and wow it sets off a nice whoosh. Full atmo at the moment and the top/centre alan screw/bolt full to the positive(+) side coz any further in the other direction it vents way too soon under low boost. Im ready for the tune up now come on Thursday 😁 good aftermarket bov i might add, chur Aussie 👌
