I'm kinda in the same situation as you, I quite like the late model GC8's but I've heard they can be a bit sluggish (n/a as I'm on P's) which put me off them however I read the EJ25 models are fairly quick, but I've never heard of one in Aus, only sold in the US? I reckon a liberty EJ25 swap in GC8 would make a decent n/a car?

It would but conversion would be illegal on p's
I didnt find the one i drove sluggish really, i know it kept up with my 2.5 liberty
saying that i didnt drive the impreza for long.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought engine swaps were legal if the engine was a factory option? Even for P Platers.

Any engine conversion where displacement is over 15% larger then stock requires engineers certificate
any engine mods that require an engineers certificate are illegal on P's

It's 15% over the largest factory option, so a 3L can go to 3.45

If you want quick.. Get a old GC8 and gut it.

So in theory swapping an EJ25 into a GC8 is okay? Considering they did come with that engine from the factory?
Yeah that should be fine, I think you may have to match the breaking/suspension performance of an RS though but I'm not 100% sure on that.

VORTEX?
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

Your old integra would poo in it in both power and handling. I don't know why p platers want to go fast in a straight line so badly... It's so boring. If half of them actually just learnt proper driving skills etc. we probably wouldn't have so many problems with fatal crashes etc... Not shit canning you personally t00ze. Just annoys me when all p platers want is a car that is 'fast'
As for best N/A Subaru... Anything 6 cylinder. With and exhaust and intake, they sound like a flat 6 Porsche and when boosted, produce excellent numbers.

I completely understand what your saying, I'm just seeing what's on offer from Subarus in terms of performance. I'm originally from the UK, now living in Melbourne, and got my license when I was 17 (Youngest age to obtain license) and my first car was in fact a Honda Civic Eg Turbo which made 200kwatw :3 God I Miss that thing. So yeah sorry If I'm coming across as a Hoon, It's just frustrating going from a Turbo to N/A after having a Turbo as my first car.

The best NA i had was a gen2 2.2awd gx, it wouldnt die(and i tried to make it die)
all i did was suspension and brakes and pod filter and it was alot of fun.
i still love gen1 fwd manual 2.2l's though, there surprisingly quick.

didn't know about the 25.. but i know you can drop the bottom end of a ej22 in to a 1.8 prez and just change the injectors.. it runs fine..
about the only NA change worth doing on one of those old crappy FWD ones..
