I actually don't like them. The keys are too high and noisy. Lol!

I use an Apple keyboard, though I hate their other products, they do a decent keyboard. My typing speed has increase on it as well :)

Illuminated keys are the only feature missing from an Apple keyboard. But I love how minimalist and small it is. I too think I can type faster with it, although it wouldn't take too long to get used to a larger keyboard.

I'm still rocking the original G15. It just doesn't want to die but it's dirty as and some of the illuminated keys around aqws seem to flash sometimes.

I want to get a mechanical keyboard next time because the sound of the keys is forking tasty.

haha thats right. I still have my G19 keyboard, some of the keys are sticking aka the "shift" key. Its been a good keyboard for about 6yrs. it was about time to change, the lights on this are really bright and clear, since every single key has a LED under it which lights up so well even on low brightness. I was going to gop with the K70 but since it only comes in red leds and black it wouldn't go well with my case since it is white & black. They do however have a silver and white leds, but it would get dirty easy i reckon.

The keyboard isn't fixed, ha ha.

That is certainly a project I'd like to undertake one day; building my own beast computer.

I assume you would save A LOT of money building one yourself? I'd like to make the build a feature like the example I gave as well. Having all the hardware within my desk would be epic.

Yes, Ethernet over power. Be warned, limited use in new homes due to RCD requirements. These devices will not work through any form of transformer or electronic switching device. So if one outlet is on say RCD 1, you can't get Ethernet to a power circuit fed from RCD 2. Same deal on 3 phase boards. Netgear EoP devices are ok, but only good at full speed for about 6 months. After that they start to slow down to the point they no longer transmit data. Took me a few weeks to work out that the EoP devices were stuffed. If you keep in mind the restrictions of them, they work wonderfully, but expect to replace them every so often.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

If your shed has its own electrical sub board with RCDs Adam, EoP devices won't work.

My laptop's playing silly buggers. When I turn it on it starts to boot then comes up with an error message...boot selection failed because a required device is inacessable.

Previously it said..... Boot manager missing.

I've taken the back cover off and checked connections to the HD. No joy.

I noticed there is a watch battery inside... Should I change it?

Also, the main battery is rooted so it only runs plugged into the wall.

It has also been getting hot lately but has not had a thermal shutdown since I bought a cooling pad.

I dont have a disc to run start up repair, so I'm forked.

Is there anything I could try to get the shitcubt going again...?

I would say that the hard drive has died or has some other form of error.

Not much use changing that battery over, it's just for the CPU clock.

I would get into bios and double check that the hard drive appears and its set up as the primary boot device.
