I'll let you know how it sounds first mang. I'm hoping for good things.
I got it for $290 at JB today. It's usually $400 or so
That's exactly why I bought it. I hated taking the sub out or moving it around to suit in the past.
I'm not really one for massive bass. I just want the music to sound full and thumpy when needed, This "should" do the job.

With all the big blah blah targetting modified car crap going on atm I started questioning if my eye measurements were correct when I set up the suspension.
With a threaded rod, 2 washers, 2 nuts and a block of wood cut to exactly 100mm's, I put this thing together to test it/for some peace of mind.
Legal
It only cost me $3 to put together.
105 (Give or take a little) at it's lowest point. Very happy.
That's it for today.

Ha ha, I'm sure you aren't the first to create something like that. I'd carry it with me as proof, or at least a tape measure.

Car looks awesome Cam.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it 100mm with a full a car?
If that were the case alot of small cars fully loaded would be getting defected.
They always check with noone in the car

Jai got his defect with the car fully stacked with I think 8 cases if beer in the boot + whatever other shit he had in there for his wedding
I just checked ADR 43 Vehicle Configuration and Dimensions - Looks like they can check it loaded up
6.4. ‘Ground Clearance’ The ‘Ground Clearance’ of a vehicle, other than an L-Group vehicle, measured from a horizontal road surface to any point on the underside of the vehicle except the tyres, wheels and wheel hubs must, under the conditions of ‘Maximum Loaded Test Mass’ loading as specified in the relevant braking rule, be not less than:
6.4.1. [This clause has been deleted]
6.4.2. for the mid-point between any 2 consecutive ‘Axles’, the dimension in millimetres obtained by multiplying the distance between those 2 ‘Axles’
in metres by 33.33; and
6.4.3. for any other point, ‘Ground Clearance’ is such that if the wheels of one ‘Axle’ are on one plane and the wheels on the next consecutive ‘Axle’ are on another plane which intersects the first so that the angle between them is 7 degrees 38 minutes the point will pass over the apex transverse to the vehicle formed by that intersection, as shown in Figure 1.
6.4.4. Where an omnibus, when fully laden and at normal ride height, does not meet the ground clearance as determined in 6.4.2, a device must be fitted to enable the chassis to be lifted sufficiently to meet the ground clearance relative to the wheelbase for manoeuvring purposes only.
6.5. ‘Overall Width’, including any ‘Equipment’
6.5.1. The ‘Overall Width’ of any motor vehicle (other than an L-Group vehicle) or trailer must not exceed 2,500 mm.
6.5.2. The ‘Overall Width’ of an L-Group vehicle must be as follows :
6.5.2.1. In the case of a two wheel vehicle (LA or LC), the maximum width must not exceed 1,000 mm.
6.5.2.2. In the case of a three wheel vehicle (LB or LE) or a motor cycle with a side car (LD), the maximum width must not exceed 1,850 mm.
6.6 The ‘Running Clearance’ of a vehicle, other than an L-Group vehicle must be not less than 100 mm.

Now that I think about it, That photo was with a full tank of fuel and a boot full of potting mix.
So it was kind of loaded. There isn't much suspension travel with the br's anyway.

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Finally home and had some rest.
Basically, Mark and I were visiting Port Mac, Wauchope and it's surrounding areas for a weekend road trip. We planned to meet up with some subyclubbers up that way and just see what's the haps.
As sad as I am to see the car dead and torn to pieces, I'm glad I chose it as our car for the trip. I got to use the car for it's purpose, I got to take on some awesome mountain roads and showed that you can have some function in the form.
Gravel launches in Lachy's wrc style driveway.
Stiff as anything.
My favourite shot of the weekend.
Meeting up with the locals.
And sadly, On our way home we had a serious accident.
Putting home last night, The GPS took us the wrong way, Along a slim, Blind, Dirt road, Went around a blind corner, Avoided hitting a kangaroo, Swerved towards the edge of the road, We were on a bridge...The car ended up rolling and we landed in the creek below.
The tow truck driver was a total champ, Walked me through everything and let me get what I needed from the car, Hope I can get him a carton of beer next time I'm in town.
The car is beyond repair, The engine seized/caught fire, The K frame was ripped backwards 30mm's, The body is bent badly and the right hand rear has been opened up like tin can (From the RR door, The roof and tailgate)
Thank goodness for seatbelts and the build quality of the car. Mark and I escaped with only a few cuts and bruises.
The end of my XT. I'm gutted because I had big plans for this car, It was all coming together so nicely, Sucks to see it written off
This is why we pay insurance, Hope it all get's sorted quickly.

That is absolutely phenomenal man. I am seriously glad that Mark and yourself are alright. After all the work and effort you put into the car it's sad to see it go but at the end of the day it's just an item. I'm sure you'll get your hands on another machine soon enough.

Very sad sight to see it on the back of a truck like that... Condolences for your loss
Kinda cool that the last pictures taken of it were on dirt roads and doing things it was made to do!

Thanks lads.
Not much I could have done with the roo. I know you are meant to hit them but it's just instinct to try and get away from them.
