Aqua Pony is nearly ready to fire up...just got to throw some water and a battery in it...fingers crossed the kent runs properly. I've done an Intercooler delete at the moment as the front bar/reo is so butchered I doubt I would pass rego. I'm gonna just throw a gx front bar and reo on it until I pass inspection...won't be giving it much stick as no IC + 35 degrees = your gonna have a bad day.

Head lamp or indicator contacts?

Jase it was the Headlamps, I was having all sorts of issues, driving of a night and while using the indicators or going over speed bumps sometimes the headlamps would go out, would have to wriggle the stalk a bit or hit it to get them to come back on.

I ended up soldering that back on and pulling the whole lot apart, cleaned up all the contacts with contact cleaner and a slight rub back then regreased them and put it all back together...... time will tell if it fixed the problem, at least everything works at the moment as it should haha.


Finally got motivated enough to replace the oil pressure switch on the 4AC roller - thing was leaking like a sieve.. such a pain in the arse having to take the alternator off to get to the thing... but productive day

Wait till i have it passed and can have a proper play...I have a bunch of shiny parts that will compliment this look to no end...I'm going full Kebab spec on the bay. Bling Bling like a Commodore

Jase it was the Headlamps,

 

Cool.

IIRC they are switched earth via a relay.

I seem to recall the contacts in the switch playing up as all the headlamp current passes through the switch. A relay on the supply side unloads the switch contacts.

Bloody bomb proof those old 'rollas.
