Zac, do that if you can mate. They say not to touch the needle with anything but fork that. Last time I did mine I used a cotton bud soaked in contact cleaner (very gently) and so much gunk came off even though it looked clean.

There is not much of a noticeable different in my car between the primary and secondary turbo, it is a fairly linear delivery, can hear the engine note change and stuff.
