And 2 weeks later we have this


Had to do a lot of fiddling and trimming and fussing with the reo bits to get them to fit as the core is mounted a bit far to one side. Will make some brackets to bolt the foglight mounts to the body and fork the bolt in reo section off entirely i think. Like what AM Auto did with the first gramps build. 

Its pretty stealth and really didnt have to trim much of the front bar. Did have to lose the mesh which was very tired anyway and missing half the "Limited" badge. 

 

Car runs good. Took it for a drive to the servo yesterday and it didnt explode. Does like to blow the silicone couplers off so might have to get some t-bolt clamps for some of the joins until i can get a bead rolled on them

Yeah those rims went, but they were forked. Most if not all were cracked.

They normally come and collect i think but my driveway is not suited for a tow truck nor could i park it out the front as it had no hand brake etc

Yeah I thought that the pic was a past event. All good.

Talking about damaged rims, you should see what my sister managed to do to two sets of rims on her RX Lib - both 17inch sets. She managed to shatter a factory 17 inch rim while in QLD - road edge erosion protruded further into the road at a point where sis moved more to the left to safely pass another vehicle, only to put the left in the dirt where this erosion was, this road edge then went back to its proper place. It was like hitting a brick on the road at 110. Front rim was in a number of pieces with two main ones - the outer rim face looked normal but the inside peeled off like a tin can, cracking down the centre of the rim (very roughly).

VERY lucky to safely pullover from that. Rear rim not so good either but it held air enough to get to a tyre place and set another rim as a spare.

Anyway, that’s the story.
