Figured out that won't work cause
It's not completely sealed off

So it would be a massive exhaust leak lel

Ive seen a few people say theyre junk, the idea behind it seems sound? Whats the go with them?

Divorced downpipes - Boost control issues, Exhaust turbulence, High EGT's and some bad ones actually prevent the flap from opening if it really needs to vent off some gas (Resulting in overboost)
Only Hi-tech do them. If they were the ducks balls every company would do them.

Open bellmouth downpipe gives you endless options as far as turbos go (No divorce plate that needs to be tuned to suit the turbo) and they flow the best. Nothing for the wastegate flap to hit and the exhaust doesn't get caught up on anything. It gets sent to the cat with no restriction.

Xforce downpipes are cheap too!

So good in theory but often poorly executed. Fair enough

Hey Rob.
Which year remote res pump are you using?
I'd check the clearance between the back of the new pump and the coolant crossover pipe. I had clearance issues with an 03 pump but was fine with an 05. I think the early GD crossover pipe has a notch in the crossover pipe to deal with the bigger pump.

Not too sure but I had this issue when I fitted it to my n/a, I had to get a turbo crossover and I had to modify the pump and grind the rear nut basically down to nothing to clear the pipe

So I'm just going to chuck this one on for now until I can find another pump that suits

Cheers for the info though! Now I know what pump I need to source

I believe when Matt had it fitted to the RS it had no clearance issues ?
So I dunno seems odd

Bit more work done

Turbo rotated and all sealed up, managed to get a bit more angle on the outlet than in the photo.

Picked up the exhaust from Staxta
So will be running 3 inch x force bell mouth dump into a race cat and 3 inch mid pipe.
2.5 muff to keep it a bit quiet and I'll also get a resonator put in eventually to keep it legal and quiet.

Decided to black out the intercooler to keep it nice and stealth
Used Killrust Matt black, put a fair bit on the end tanks and just dusted the core :)

Also decided to beef up the bottom fmic mounts, so went off to Bunnings and got some thick alloy and cut it to length

Blacked out both the top and bottom mounts ;)

All fitted up and looking good
