Sounds sweet Ty! When I can afford to blow a set of set of tyres on the track, I'll be there haha. Winton isn't to far from the missus dads house which makes it easy too. What gear did you have to have to get onto the track? Can you just buy a 'day pass' license thing? I'm guessing a fire extinguisher was a must?

Just a Fun day this one.. so its $35 and your set, no licences, no fire extinguishers..
the rules are no "Racing" and only run at 80%
as a "Fun Day" there are quite a few P platers with mums Falcodore or their shit box Corollas.. but most of them are gone within the first 2 sessions as the cars just dont handle it.. and something dies, or breaks and they are then off for the day.

mostly you just need long sleeves (was a killer in he heat haha) long pants, an approved Helmet and closed shoes.

I have the same problem changing into 5th at higher RPM's. Only become a real problem since i got the centre diff replace and I'm guessing mechanic just replace with basic oil. Castrol Syntrax might be job for the weekend!

Keen to see this beast at a Car wash meet soon.

yeah My fluid was a bit low but it always did it.. they Syntrax was great.. only problem was $29.99 per litre...
but worth it for sure!

dont have all my Times..

Bloody Phone went flat and i lost all the data :@

but my best time i have logged was a 1:45.1600
But I doubt i would have got faster than that.. it was getting quite warm... and i could feel it struggling on the straight.. (didn't hit 5th at all for the rest of the day)
my Top speed on track was 172 Top speed on the way to the track in the morning @ 22deg.. 185 in 4th before i pulled the pin

i knew with the heat later in the day i would not be getting a good top speed run.... and well... if you have been there.. there is a nice straight out the front of the track...
also the straight is not that long at Winton.. but i was keeping up with a race spec R33 GTR out the back of the track.. and a SWEET R32.. i was catching him through the corners.. but onto every straight.. come the end of 2nd he would literally leave lines and take off! bloody big turbo and a bloody quick car! leaving marks at 120kmh+ !
