Yep quiet.

I have a serious case of the CBFs...

That’s always an ongoing issue in lockdown. I’ve wasted a number of good days for working outside on the cars.

It’s not fun when you’re stuck in that rut and there doesn’t seem like much you can do about it.

It's weird, I have a million things that need to be done but I'm struggling to find the motivation. I waste the mornings lounging drinking coffee then force myself to get going around midday. When I finally get in the groove the day is almost over and I end up wishing I started earlier.

I haven't played with cars for such a long time, probably burnt out from my previous cars to be honest. Plus I've mainly been focussing on home improvements and Reno's lately but I decided to buy some bolt ons for the WRX. I was excited & counting the days until they arrived so I could get into it. They turned up then sat in the garage for 5 days before I did anything about it.

The CBF's are real.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about Kong. Just getting the motivation to get outside is the main battle.

Stay safe NSW. I don’t know why your leaders are talking about opening up already. To me that spells disaster.

I can't get my head around it either. The focus has been on daily numbers for so long now, tightening lockdown as cases increased. The infection rate is at the highest it's ever been in Sydney and they're talking about reducing restrictions!? That makes zero sense. Perhaps it's just a carrot on a rope to appease a state that's suffering emotionally but It screams of "we don't know what the fork were doing right here and we know the battle is lost!"
The numbers in my area aren't bad but, if lockdown is lifted, we're as good as forked as Sydney is. We're right next to it.
Pisses me off because it feels like these months of lockdown were for nothing.
The Central Coast is full of antivaxers, people that think it's a scamdemic and people that simply don't give a shit.
Impending doom awaits us.

So it seems if we have enough of us doing the wrong thing and it’s bothering the govt they’ll change their ways... wtf?

If you haven’t caught on it’s in regards to the Covid number still going up but we’re looking at opening up. Doesn’t make any sense when kids aren’t vaccinated at this point in time. They’re our next generation and we’re not protecting them from the virus. Go figure.

Really though, I reckon there’s a quiet but mighty push from the fed govt about opening up to get the economy going and start paying off the massive debt the fed govt collectively gave us. I don’t know how opening up to get the economy going works when cases go nuts like they have in the UK and Israel...

Cheers

Rock and a hard place - dont want to rent but cant buy yet either, plus theres now a shortage of houses on the market in our area (for rent and sale)!

Anyway, thanks for reading, shouldve offered some cheese at the start to go with my whine...

I’m already fully vaxxed as of last lockdown when I had my second shot. I slipped in as a teacher of students on the NDIS before the state govt apparently changed their minds on that one.

We’re looking at a house tomorrow morning, one at a time with the agent since regional are out of lockdown. Dunno how it’ll go, it looks to have a half kitchen, no dishwasher and “car access to rear yard”. When I did a drive by look on my way home from work it looks like you’d need to be in a mini to get a vehicle in the backyard.

We’ll see what happens there. Not liking our chances with a limited budget and we’re not keen to look at the next price range below as that puts us in the not so favourable areas of town - and not in the school zoning we want either. That’s a HUGE factor!

Cheers

Not much Gaz. Lockdown lyf!

How's it going up there in NSW? It seems you guys will experience freedom before we do!

Not much happening here other than WFH for a few days each week. I guess I'm a bit lucky, as an 'essential' worker I'm able to head into work for a few days each week and get out of the house!

A few car mates and I were going to take a three day spirited driving holiday though the Vic high country, one has a Lotus Exige 410 & the other a C4 'vette, but I guess we'll have to postpone that. Really annoyed, but there is f-all anyone could do about it.

Haha, you know it.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm going all good. Working three days a week for half days still as well, but I don't think the lockdown is having a negative impact on me or my missus at all to be honest. We're enjoying the time together and constantly going out for walks, etc. Good work/life balance now, haha. I'm considered an essential worker too despite not having any public access to our dealerships. Everything is click and collect, over the phone or email enquiries.

We are due to get out of lockdown next month apparently.

That would be a freaking awesome cruise! Those cars are schmick.

Lol. The Corvette is your typical mid-80's US build quality. Crap.

Having said that, it's held up OK for it's age.

They say patience is a virtue... so true.

Many months ago I lost the RH h/lamp washer cover from the RB. So annoyed, as I never operate them at speed but the forking thing fell off in traffic!

Anyway, Partsoq has been nil stock on the repair kit https://partsouq.com...ll?q=86629AG000 (around AUD $60) since then and all my searches drew a blank. Lets face it, these cars are getting old and at some point in time, parts won't be available new OEM. Thinking this was the case, I ordered one from the local dealer last week as they had one left in stock. They charged me $168.00 delivered.

The day after I order it, the damn thing pops up on my Partsoq wishlist.......

I blame Dan for this being the highlight of my last 7 days.

Nice work on jab #2 Gaz!

I did think about it, but I ordered it through a mate's w/shop account and thought it would look bad, seeing the part was ex-Sydney.

Thanks man. Was meant to get it on the 6th October but the clinic around the corner called to get our first jab done, told them we already had it and we were waiting on a second. They called me an hour later and said that they can fit me in.

Haha, fair call.
