Barbs, pods need to be mounted and boxed, would have been fine if covers were installed, but if it was just mounted and bare, it'll fail.

Cheers,
Ben

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

As Ben said about the Pod.

Not a bad list to deal with,’more of an annoying one. Particularly the diff seal - front or rear?

Rear is easy, remove drive shaft and pop the seal out.

Front is more difficult as you need to mark the bearing tensioner start position (doesn’t matter where), count the number of rotations and the point where the thread disengages complete (relative to your mark on the front case). Pull the seal and replace (it’s an internal mounted seal and the seal is directional so ensure it’s fitted to the correct side!). Replace the bearing tensioner with the same number of turns as you removed it with. Done - well, after you reinstall the driveshaft...

How will you sort out the suspension? Hopefully not a complete swap, I forget if you’re running coil overs or not.

Cheers

Bennie

Everything i read boxed and mounted was NSW, Vic was just mounted. Is whatever now as i borrowed an airbox and its already in.

Diff seal is rear thankfully, not that it matters as i have the updated design box where the seals can be done without removing the sun dials.

Will grab some standard shocks from the wreckers. Struts are easy to change.

In other wonderful news I fixed the brakes! Turns out i had one of the booster hoses backwards which means the one way valve wasnt doing its thing  :yahoo:

Considering its having the roady done to include the tarbo, I don't reckon its too bad!
Very nice win with the brakes, gotta have one every so often. I did the same on mine, just made the pedal hard as f#@k. Brakes still worked, but just about bent the pedal for them to work half decently. Then I remembered seeing an arrow on the hose. Doh!

Cheers,
Ben

Nice work. I bet you were on cloud nine after all the shit you went through to get to this point.

Is the game plan now to get it rego’d with plates, quick drive no more than 5km from home then back in the shed to swap struts, airbox wtc?

You should ask for a discount on your rego! We *should* see a reduction in our TAC levy next year with a reduction in road traumas. Here’s hoping!

We need some power shots if you can without copping a fine.

Should be fine to drive more than 5km as its the only rego place and its not within 5km etc etc

But yeah plates on and drive home and fit the HKS muffler and remove the BOV lol. Will probably leave the standard struts in tbh. The billies clunked a bit and ideally id need another alignment but bugger that ill just put coilovers in one day.

Discount would be nice but knowing the gov itll go up

Easiest way to get a half reasonable alignment that wont completely destroy your tyres is properly mark the bolt in some way to at least get close to where it needs to be. No good marking the strut of course, but a simple arrow on the bolt head will work wonders. Just have to make sure the arrow is in the same orientation on the new strut. As said, it wont be as good as a proper alignment, but it will stop you chewing tyres on the way to the alignment place.

Yeah i remembered to do that just as i spun the bolt out lol. Stock bolts have very little adjustment anyway plus the tyres are temporary before something stickier goes on
