More parts i dont need? Yes
More yahoo bargains. Set of HKS headers. Aside from being 4-1 headers the collector is right back and a nice single piece of pipe to connect to the up pipe. This means a nice location for an external gate when the time comes, rather than sticking it out the back and having to contest with the steering column and dump pipe.
Little bit crusty but for $50 i wont complain

Thats a bargain, postage is normally way more than that! Did you combine it with something else you're telling us? haha

The headers themselves were $50 alone lol. Probably closer to $200 by the time they land. Still about 1/3 the price

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.
MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Holy crap barbs... how do you find all these goodies? Do you trawl yahoo every 6 hours or something? This is going to be epic...
More like every 2 or 3 hours haha. With the way yahoo is these days the yanks and resellers are all over it. Only time you get bargains is when the jap seller lists it under a wrong category basically
Going to be epic? Is already epic, just getting epiccer along the way!
Barbs, is there a chance this build will be actually done soon? If so, quickest build I’ve ever seen I reckon!
I’m still working on my build, only 15 years so far...
Cheers
Bennie
I dont plan on doing anything else for a while now to save up and get the body fixed up. Maybe put the Power FC in and get it tuned by a mate as is

Nothing particularly exciting to report. The hose that feeds the bottom of the header tank split 2km from home.
A universal "Z" hose from supercheap and some new coolant and good as new. Shouldn't be any 20 year old hoses left on the car now. Also swapped the Gen 4 spec twin scroll dip stick to a GDB one so the AC lines will fit. Picked up a tensioner on the weekend so just need to install that and the new belt and get some gas put in it.
In other car news, my sedan has finally left the block
Ive donated it to the SES to use for jaws of life training. They have said i can come and watch when they cut it up so that should be fun to watch

First proper oil change on the turbo engine. Decided to lash out on some HKS oil cos it comes in a sweet can
Posted 03 January 2021 - 07:28 PM
Sweet can indeed.
Never heard of a 7.5W-45 oil!!
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

For when you want a light weight oil, but don’t want 5w and 10w is too much
And for when 40 is too thin and 50 too thick, right?

Had something super awesome arrive yesterday. Never thought id actually see one of these things let alone have one, especially not new in the box. Gen 2 specific HKS glovebox gauge holder
Moved the EVC in as thats where its meant to go, thankfully the ash tray delete pocket covers all crimes from making the EVC fit
Pretty much the perfect interior now

Hows the engine work going though? So much driveline not enough HP's?
Thats one thing that sucks in the gen3's, 1 cup holder..

Still going fine. 99% sure the up pipe gaskets are absolutely shot so that needs doing but i cant really be forked as the up pipe has to come out due to reasons which means engine has to be jacked up cos 3 bolt flange
