Sorry, its taken a little while, but I needed my PC to get the link working properly. Here's the new wags. It's no spring chicken at 380 thou, but its got the indestructible EJ201 in it - so it ain't fast by any stretch of the imagination, but its reliable as all hell!

I don't have any more real photos of the new beasty, but it'll end up with a full blue/black leather interior in it, after Nick kindly sold me his seats to suit the wagon. I'll be looking to put his passenger leather onto my drivers seat, as mine is getting a little worn out, but my passenger is still reasonably decent. Add in some small bits of goodness and it'll be one sweet waghoon once I'm done. H6 converted liberty wagon for sub 4k.

 

Will keep you all posted as I get things happening.

Should be a grand little toy once I'm done. Got lots of bits and pieces coming for it.

Cool colour. My ex wife's MY02 RX Special Edition is the same.

 

For some reason I thought 01G was a Special Edition colour only. Guess I'm wrong!

It may well be Jase - this lib is apparently a safety pack edition, not just a bog stock GX. I'm looking forward to collecting this over this weekend. I'm hoping the big over exposed section on the roof just behind the windscreen in the picture is just reflection from the shed and not fade. But considering I got it for 700 bucks, I'm not that phased if it is fade.

Been a change of plans due to my available time because of bubs. This will be resurrected as the track car. The stiffer gen3 chassis will hopefully offset the advantages of lower weight of the gen2 chassis. Will take a while as I have to put it back together, and baby has made it impossible to get into the shed. But give it time...

Progress shall be made in time.

Ordered a few bits for this over the last month or so. Rear diffuser and Cusco bar, zero sports radiator cooling panel, and some coasters for the shed, cos why not. Was looking for some coilovers as well, but finances will not allow it just yet.

Small update, cooling panel is fitted.



Brembos are sitting next to the car waiting for me to get some free time to fit them up.

Fuel pump is also ready to fit to the hanger, just need to adapt the lower clips to suit the Walbro 255 pumps, pretty sure there is a guide in the DIY section on this.
Edit: appears that there is not a guide for these into a gen3 here. I will try and rectify this. I must have used the one from Ozliberty back in the day before it went to the great big hard drive in the sky...

Also need to remove the heater and associated A/C bits in the cab, then repair the dash loom and somehow clip it all back into the car without a dash pad. Not quite sure how this is gonna work just yet, but I'll figure it out.

Anyways, there is something else I have in the wind for this as well, but until it lands and I confirm that it's the right part, I'm not mentioning much.

So the fancy suspense generating part finally arrived, and I've confirmed it does suit the BE/BH series. So please see the photo!

Can't wait to figure out how it actually goes on. Never seen a gen3 with one of these, so figuring it out is going to be entertaining.

Will more than likely do 0 to my performance, but it looks cool as shit, and I've wanted one for a long, LONG time. Somewhat what you would call rocking horse shit these days. Happened to see it show up on Kaiguys while checking things out randomly...

Nothing else to report besides a work mate having a heap of left over titanium exhaust wrap that he said he's going to bring into work for me, so I can finally wrap the dump pipe next to the clutch master cylinder. I'll get to it eventually, when I get some time ha ha.

Yea, a good scrub with a toothbrush and funnily enough, some toothpaste, and it will come up tops. Previous owner in Japan didn't remove the clear plastic protector from the name plate either, and it's melted itself to the plate, so I'm gonna have to be inventive to get that off without scratching the plate underneath it.

Also found out from Nick that these need the BBOD to sit right, which makes sense, and given my car no longer has one, I'm going to have to get inventive on that front too. But I've got the semblance of a plan brewing...

Got the next piece of the puzzle on its way.



Filter will be thrown out, but the AFM tube and zerosports tube will be kept for the airbox install. Going to check the inner diameter of the AFM tube to make sure it's no different to the stock one on the airbox. If it's different, I'm gonna have to wait until I get the rest of the goodies I want before it gets re-tuned to suit. Don't want to grenade the engine due to tuning differences in airflow. Watch this space!

Well, over the last two nights, I've managed to actually spend some time in the shed after Seb has gone to bed. So the dash panel loom was repaired after a mishap when removing it from the B4 back in 2016, and it was thrown across the bazooka, and connected everything. Mount for the headlight and wiper stalks was reinstalled and connected, and the rest of the fuel pump bolts were installed and the pump plugged back in. Once I get the airbox sorted, it should be able to be started. A half decent set of headlights also got put back in as well.
Also got a few extras coming in the next few months... Got some rear aero covers and diffuser like parts on their way from Japan, will put a photo up of those soon. Plus, said yes to some second hand ID1050 injectors, in preparation for an E85 retune. Should be here in about 6 weeks, gotta wait for a mate to pull them off a wreck.

That's it for the moment. Small steps.

Buying parts is easy, getting them fitted however, that's where it's going to be struggle town lol

Got some more bits on their way. Ganador Ti strut brace, Cusco coil overs and some air deflectors to push more air to the brakes. They were cheap, so I couldn't resist. I think I'm in the hole about 30 bucks for them, so not a bad thing.

Will post up some pics once they rock up, but they're on the slow boat over (JP sea freight), so it's gonna be a while till I see them. Also looking at getting a blue bonnet again to save me having to professionally paint one (only cos I don't have the skills or tools to spray paint properly, and rattle cans don't work real well on metal parts, the finish comes out shite). Essentially, its a money saving exercise, as I can import one the right colour for less than what the local places want to paint mine for.
