Nice! Whats up with brewing inside? What about the sun burn? tis a truly great place to spend a brewday. What was the grain bill? Dark ale or stout? or is this the one thats going into the Barrel? More info Richo. Stat!

It was freaking hot, thats why!

Hi,

We will DEFINITELY need to hook something up for that.

Cheers,
Nik

I'll be asleep for a lot of it :(

Hi,

Hopefully it didn't spend three months GETTING here, and just took three months to convince them to send it. Main problem with getting kegs internationally is that almost all kegs are on exchange programs, so sending a keg tens of thousands of kilometres away diminishes the opportunity for you to return that keg home. Mad Monk, in aid of the USA craft festival we are all attending (YES) sent kegs around the world, filled, as a good will sort of handshake. Those kegs were used at the ale house for sale/giggles, then returned filled with their finest.

Some simple ideas are astonishingly brilliant.

Cheers,
Nik

They are only selling it in midi's.

Apparently 9%-in-a-pint does something funny to their customers.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Hi,

Not surprising, that is the main reason we won't sell pints. It's not SO MUCH the alcohol level, it is more the immense hop quantity which acts as a sedative.

Cheers,
Nik

I'm kind of glad they are selling in midi's only. I wouldn't get to try as many brews if they were in pints. Id even be happy to go smaller than midi's if it meant being able to try more styles.

Out of interest Nik, what is the shelf life product in a keg? How do you think the flavours of these beers being sent from the US will hold up? I mean they arent going to be at their freshest especially if they've spent any time sitting out in our hot weather during their travels.

Sig worthy.

Hi,

They should hold up better in keg transport than by the bottle. You'd be surprised just how fresh they'll be, a couple of weeks under pressure is bloody good batting if you ask me.

Cannot wait for this!

Cheers,
Nik
