Sounds interesting. Good to see you're trying new things Adam. Having no TV reception will do wonders for your beer experience.

Pigs Fly Pilsener
Region: Bowral, New South Wales

Yeast: A traditional bottom fermenting Bohemian yeast fermenting at low temperatures creates a fresh and dry brew with minimal esters and sweetness.

Malt: A blend of pale and Munich malts is used to maintain a lighter colour whilst maximising the intensity of the hop flowers.

Hops: Three types of hops are used to produce a unique and complex flavour and aroma: Traditional Czech Saaz hops and Amarillo produce a spicy, citrus aroma, whilst noble Hallertau contribute a subtle bitterness.

Colour: A clear/golden colour with exceptional clarity and moderate carbonation.

Nose: Prominent spicy characters from Saaz hops are balanced by the popular citrus/fruity characters of Amarillo hops.

Palate: Crisp and refreshing with a spicy palate and light mouthfeel. Noble Hallertau hops contribute to a long smooth finish.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Happy birthday for the othe day Amslex.
Score on the brew gear. If you want I can show you how I do a 10L all grain brew on the stove top which doesn't require shit loads of equipment.
10L doesn't sound like much, but when you're learning it's a good volume.

Sig worthy.

S'okay. It's supposed to be an american Pale ale. It's probably closer to an Aussie pale. I want full on, in your face hops aroma from an APA.

Sig worthy.

Hehehe 2L growler filled with Hefe is free for me. Admittedly it's not weiny but close enough. I'd still rather fill my growler with our 3.5% lager than our hefe.

Speaking of hefe. Mad brewers latest "Hoppy Hefe" is on at the Generous Squire. You should check it out AMSlovehefes.

Sig worthy.

Similar font, yes.
The beer was average at best. For the money anyway.

So are you sticking with 6ers or switching to 4 packs?

Cheers,
Brett.

@Richo- thank you Sir. Your review was quite informative and helpful.

Mikkeller Single Hop IPA - Summit

Look: Generic slightly darker than some IPA. Loose head, went away very fast. May have been the pour more than anything as the carbonation is fairly much spot on (for my likes)

Aroma: Malt sweetness, caramel etc Pine/Resin, maybe the slightest hint of passionfruit

Taste: If thats not a bittering hop, well he must have used a boat load of the stuff. Grassy ??? finish and quite a lingering bitterness.

Hi,

Not one hunnid on it yet. I would like to go with four packs, Dad wants to stick with six packs.

Maybe some market research is in order?

Cheers,
Nik
