SpIcy, raisins, forest fruits(?), toffee, low carbonation. Just amazing.

American pale ale. Not so upfront, in your face hoppy as SN pale, but pleasant all the same. Nice sweet malt backbone to it. My initial thought was melanoidin, but it's too pale for that. Hops are resiny and piney.
4.8% which is low for an APA.
$16.99 for a sixer from Dan's.

Nik I reckon I've found a wheat beer you'd actually like.
Wingwalker Belgian Wheat Ale. Basically very hoppy. It's pretty much an APA made with wheat. The wheat is only really noticeable on the finish. But in a pleasant malty way. Theres the wheat tartness too but that just adds to the refreshing hop flavours.

Mad brewers - Hoppy Hefe
Magic Hat (US) - Not so Pale Ale.
I'll be drinking these tonight.
I also picked up a sixer of Coopers Dark Ale. Not bad. Probably wont buy again though.

Brooklyn Brand East India Pale Ale.
It's....okay. At 6.9% it's pretty full on but certainly doesn't taste 6.9%.
Maybe, 3/5 stars.

Roasty toasty malt, vanilla (I'm guessing the barrel ageing is kicking in here), slight chocolate hint. Hint of the 11.5% is there. Raisins too.
I don't think I could tell you it was a rum barrel, but most definitely has a barrel agedness ...... yeah..
Fairly light mouth feel oddly.
The taste is much the same as the aroma, however its quite sweet

This is the weirdest freaking beer I have ever had.. There are so many different things happening, they kinda meld together, kinda . I'm really not sure if I like it or not

And, this is what it looks like;

All in favour of calling it 'The Chimp' ? Heading to the Chimp for a cheeky pint sounds a lot better than heading to the cheeky monkey for a chimp pint.
Cheers,
Nik
