So i saw a guy putting out an old lawnmower for hard rubbish, stopped on the side of the road, turned out to be an old Scott Bonnar Diplomat - asked him what was wrong with it... Turns out it no longer goes when you put the lever in drive. Said no worries, i'll take it. Took it home and pulled the cover off, turns out the grub screw on the drive shaft was loose and the woodruff key fell out of the shaft. Put it all back together, tightened the grub screw and runs like a dream!

Thought i'd share a pic:

sweet! Id love a powered roll mower. My pushy is fine but it does take some effort hahaha. Mind you, now that Im not detailing cars 24/7 I need to do some more "active" tasks.

Sig worthy.

My grandfather still mows his lawns with a 60's briggs & stratton self driving cylinder mower. You could host a lawn bowls game in his back yard!

If I had a lawn it would look like this I tell you what.

This is what happens when dumb mower operators try to become mechanics, and overfill the engine by 5liters (sump capacity of 3.9ltrs)
