Alrighty, after a bit of fiddling and time today, I removed the green coloring from the back of the speedo dials.
I used:
Phillips head screw driver
Stubby Phillips head s/d
Girlfriends nail polish remover
Cotton buds and balls
Any colour Sharpie of your choice. I used Red
All I did was take the dash right off, followed by the speedo cluster.
I then took the back off the cluster, then the front so that the needles on the cluster were moveable by hand.
I unscrewed the 8 small screws on the face of the dials being very careful of the needles and not to break the dial covers..
Once the screws are out, carefully bend the face of the dials away from the cluster around the needle. Then apply the nail polish remover with the cotton buds in the hard spots, and the cotton balls in the easy parts.
I didn't want to remove the needles, so I carefully and precisely cut the dial cover so that I could get to the really hard parts. Probably not Recommended but it works..
Then, once the green comes off the numbers and such, I colored the white parts in with a red sharpie/permo marker.
I also got the clock and odometer display to change from green to red. There is a small green plastic strip straight underneath the screen. I pushed a screwdriver through the bottom of the cluster where the bulb goes into to push the plastic strip from underneath and once out, apply your acetone and rub off. Once dry, colour in neatly with your sharpie without leaving marks.
Then put back in carefully making sure you don't break, bend etc the needles or dial cover.
Replace all the screws and clips and your done. Put back all your dash, plugs and screws..
All done, this is how mine turned out. I replaced the dodgy blue LEDs that blew with normal Narva T10 globes.

Once again, using an iPhone, much better in real life.
Cheers
Sam
