Yeah climate control is a bit tough. I think you need really bright LEDs for it to work properly. I used the red and It leaves no spots but with blue it is very bad.
Thats why I changed back to red. But it's really easy to change the lights in it. Just a matter of a few screws and a bit of time.

Plus, red is better on the eye!

U will need 6x T4 Neo Wedge LEDs...

Posted Image Posted Image

I was getting hot spots when it wasnt dark so I opted to get the Neo Wedge SMD LEDs as they are brighter...

Posted Image

As you see the luminous intensity is almost triple with the SMDs

Yeah that's what I was having a bit of trouble with, with that website.
I'll grab a bunch of SMDs to upgrade all my lights.

87,500km service today.
K-mart Tyre and Auto, I know a couple of the mechanics down there, ones a local rally driver..
Got it fairly cheap, changed the oil and oil filter, lubed the outback up nicely and put in some upper engine cleaner.
I asked them to give it a wheel alignment but they said the wheels were wearing evenly and it wasn't necessary at this point..

Next service is 100,000km- I've heard it's pretty expensive.

So, up to date log book, cars running great, and ready to go for another 12,500kms....!

The engine, with oil... And some of the hinges.

In reality I could have just done the oil change and **** myself but I wanted the stamp on my logbook.

Had a go at baking the headlights and taking out the orange lens for the indicators.
Took off each of the headlights, took all the wires and screws out and put it in the oven on 100degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
Took it out and pried apart the front from the back.
Two screws holding the plastic orange thing in place and your good to put it back together.
I was in and out in about 30 seconds so I could kind of re use the black silicon sealant while it was still hot.

Put everything back together and done!

Here are a couple of pics..

Just need to replace the globes with orange ones with maybe a chrome coat on them.

Bought some chrome spray paint this morning and sprayed all of my indicator bulbs. Think I may have sprayed them a little too much. Especially the side and rear ones. I will be buying some new t10 chromed ones off eBay and also some rear bayonet ones for the rear. The fronts are ok..

I have upgraded my front speakers today, I bought a set of Clarion SRQ1621s components on special. They are a 6.5" speaker so had to put in some spacers (they are a bit deeper than the stock ones too and would have hit on the windows so the spacers came in handy).

I wont be running them through an amplifier at the moment. I might when i upgrade the rear speakers to 2 ways.

MUCH better sound compared to the already decent stock component speakers.

Also, this might annoy my good mate Alex somewhat, I will be putting in some footwell LEDs at some stage soon. Just have one question though, what should i connect them to? The red door lights? I really dont want to have to go through the head lining so the courtesy light isnt an option.

Cheers
Sam
