I've a Stainless steel muffler here that sounds pretty good with these headers. Has a nice stainless dual skinned tip on it. $40 and its yours.

Might be able to hear the exhaust there at some point :S.

Scuba Roo,

Are you located in melbourne by any chance??

If yes, do you know where can I get installed something like this on my 06 2.0 RS ?

I'm looking for better looking and sound. Is this the best option to get that? .

I was thinking about getting my car to Mr Muffler in malvern, are they any good?

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure your "06 2.0 RS" is either a 2.0i (SOHC) or 2.0R (DOHC).
If it's the DOHC, they won't fit.

hey
i feel that gen 1 liberty headers are the best option to get the boxer note
i done this mod on my my99 rx over a year ago and they sound great
they do require the the exhaust to be lengthened but it the best bang for your buck
gen 3 liberty is the exact same boat i installed the gen1 headers on my mates gen3 a couple of months back and they fit perfect but require the exhaust to lengthened aswell
heres a sound clip of mine

So am I right to assume that from reading this thread, gen 1 liberty (NA?) headers fit up with a bit of lengthening and will give the boxer rumble?
Is any modification needed at the other end to connect to the existing pipes/cat?

2.2 Gen2 Liberty... Easy.

Search eBay for Subaru headers or Subaru extractors.

Is it a gen 1 or gen 2? Gen 2's have wierd header design don't they? Therefore not all 2.2 UEL fit?
