throw kebab spec wheels into landfill. even then, they'd probably buckle, and set the surrounding flora rancid.

buy something more worthy, and not cast in a sandpit in some ghetto third world asian country by a blind and deaf amputated 3yo orphan for a cigarette.

the wheels you listed need more hommus.

LOL.. Wow i didnt understand that at alll ... Strangely made me kinda hungry..I get what you mean tho..

Unfortunatly my insurance company arnt prepared to give me a new set of Rays or something decent suprisingly.. As i said ill prob jsut end up floggin them and fix my old ones.. I have a spare one anyhows but i didnt tell the insurance company that.. Fuckers..

If you can suggest some wheels for around the $300 per wheel id be happy to hear it.. 650+ a corner and i think they will say no.

Koya cr teks are $295 a corner and they are a shitload better than advanti, plus they do custom offset and pcd to suit anything.

Cheers,
Zach.

Seems my insurance company is only going to pay for 2 of the four wheels now so Ill be telling them to get Posted Image'ed and be going to shannons..

They look the goods Zach.. Exactly the kinda info im after.. Iv got the worst taste with wheels.. I always pick the most expensive wheels without even knowing it.. Very frustrating. I didnt pick the Advanti`s btw.. the tyre joint did..

LOLWUT!? ALEX SUGGESTING ROTA'S!?

For the price of cr teks compard to rotas, i'd be going with the cr teks for the extra $45 a corner. They are much lighter and as i stated, custom offset and pcd ;)

Cheers,
Zach.

Loving the pics lol.. FUnny shit..and always good to hear about wheels ill be getting in the future.

Im having problems getting my hands on the back hubs/drive shafts from BBM so i was thinking in the mean time is it posible to leave the origional rear diff/shafts/hubs and breaks using the B4 tail shaft ?

Iv got a R180 diff but it would be nice to be able to go ahead and change the engine/box front suspension and leave the rear diff/setup till later on when i got more time/cash.

Anyone think this wont work ?

Cheers again Vice..

PS got a full weekend lined up for pulling all the loom out the cut tommorow and a friends rental car i can borrow all sorted for when i take the liberty off the road to remove its loom. So alls looking to be moving forward at last.

Oh and i got a cross member/tail shaft and rear sway bar from an auto B4 sorted aswell, so should have them next week some time.

Also good news on the rim.. THey managed to fix one and save the tires so im now out $120 rather than 1k.. good news for the build.

You'll need to check that the ratio of the R180 matches the existing R160 you've got on the car. If they match, yes you can use the existing diff, shafts and hub, although the tailshaft may not fit since I'm pretty sure the 6 speed is longer than the 5 speed (meaning the tailshaft will need to be shorter).

Also, if it takes you a full weekend to take the loom out you're drinking too many beers. Or not enough. Either way, it's not exactly the right amount.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

Thanks for the reply Xon.

Ill check the flanges over the weekend. (is there a way to check the ratios ? how will that effect the car ?) I am getting a B4 auto tail shaft next week so that should take care of the tail shaft lengh issue ( that is if the flanges are the same size)

LOL.. there will be a few beers over the weekend. ill prob end up doing other stuff aswell but im taking it slow as im very new to subaru engines. Constantly googleing parts to figure out how they work etc..

Cheers Vice

The flanges aren’t your problem. The issues is if the final drive ratios don’t match. The V7 STI is 3.9 right? not sure what the RX liberty’s are? If they don’t match, your wheels will be rolling at different speeds which will result the centre or rear diff going kaboom.

Yeah not sure what the gen3 RX diff would be. At a guess it'd be 3.9 but I can't find anything to confirm that.

Not sure if the v7 6 speed had a reduction gear in it though?

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

v7 6speeds are definately 3.9

no idea what the gen3 is, type the gearbox code into google

i had a r160 behind my 6speed at one stage untill i put the whole r180 rear end in

6speed tail is shorter as said above!

If the factory manual is correct, the RX's and B4s in the Gen 3s were 4.11 final drive. But to be sure, google both gearbox codes as meantioned - if the final drive figures are different you need to change it as a complete kit.

Ben
