You can buy new ones from Subaru. Don't think they are that expensive. Rivets might pull through the plastic

you would be suprised with the price from subaru, i had to get all the clips to hold a side trim on (kinda smasheed it of when drifting the impreza in the wet) and it was around $40 at trade price for the 8 clips

I wouldn't rivet them, just replace them with new ones from Subaru. I usually lift the top a bit by prying with a flat-head screwdriver and then give it a good yank with a pair of plyers. They break occasionally, but usually I can reuse them.

As for the bumper, not sure about the gen3 but the gen2 bumper is mounted to a reo bar that bolts inside the chassis rails. You can remove the whole thing by unscrewing the 4 (really big) bolts and just sliding the entire thing out. Takes about 2 minutes and you don't have to roll around on the ground.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

to remove the bar on a gen3 all you got is the 5 press clips at the top where the grill would sit over, 10mm in the gaurd at the top of the bar, and 2 press clips un the under side. then it will just pull off. i had my front bar off twice over the weekend as i fitted a rsk bar and Posted Image'ed off the shitty rev a bar.
should take about 10min if you know what your doing or 20 if you dont.

you dont just pop up the centre of the clip, you need to remove the hole black clip.

if you pull back the black inner gaurd trip and look up at the corner ends of the bar and look up to where the bar meet the body you see a 10mm on each side of the car, undo that and then it should pop off.

Are you actually replacing the bar, or do you just want it off to get at the looms, radiator etc?

The bumper clips - ie. the big black plastic ones, you pop the centre up with a flat screwdriver and then wiggle the whole assembly out. (The whole clip will come out in one piece when the centre has been popped out.

The other innerguard clips (the ones that just spin when you try unscrewing them with a philips screwdriver, i use a razorblade to hold the skirt down with a bit of pressure and then unscrew the plastic screw with a regular philips screwdriver - i find that works 9 times out of 10. If you can't get them out, break'em and replace them with genuine subaru ones as the replacement ones from repco etc are all different sizes!

Cheers boys.

Got it off.. broke probally 3 out of 8... Im just going to buy new ones.. they where all pretty old and shitty.. It was fairly confusing for a bit there as i had some shitty aftermarket brackets from driving lights holding the bar on.. I was just taking it off to get to the loom and rad Xon.. I will replace it down the track but i just thought it would be easier with it off..

Vice :)
