Looking good. Are they still putting the heatshield back in which covers the driveshaft?

They prob would of if it wasnt in my garage.. they are modifying the brace that the down pipe hits atm.. I know the B4 didnt even have it but they want it back in and looking stock..

You'll need a heat shield of some description around the dump pipe closest to the clutch master cylinder. Otherwise town/city driving becomes fun with a 2mm On/Off clutch pedal. Heats the clutch fluid up to the point it doesnt work. Minimum heat wrap it.

Not really needed on a standard dump pipe because of the air gap, but with a 3 inch, it becomes a problem.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

I run a 3in Dump and just have the standard heat shield around the clutch cylinder and that has been fine.. even on a 38deg Track day with on track temp temps, no clutch problems..

Ah, Gen 3 must be closer then, and I know my B4 never had a clutch heat sheild. If I had one I probably wouldnt have dramas either. Any idea what model they were standard on? Will order one/get one from a wreckers somewhere.
Could be my AM Auto stock bellmouth moulded into custom pipe may get closer than a completely custom bit of gear like the zerosport thing too. Not sure. But I know after a bit of stop start traffic, my clutch is next to useless.

So it started today.. Going on the dyno tomorrow morning at 10 am,.. Hopefully be down there to film it if I can get it off.

Turns out the clutch master cylinder has a popped seal or something as it isnt working. SO the STI one is going in this arvo..

Looks like a Thur pickup is looking the go :)
