That's it. And I seriously cannot wait! I have another question.

For someone coming into the Liberty scene (both considering my budget and my plans), is it worthwhile chilling out a bit and getting a GEN3 or should I maintain my goal of getting a GEN4?

Yeah, 4EATS with the sportshift aren't spectacular. But it will be like driving a supercar compared a...3 speed in a VS?!

If you can afford the GEN4, Go for it.

Some early 2.5 GEN4's had oil consumption issues.

Awesome, I share similar opinions. GEN4 it is. Now I just have to keep my eyes open for a decent Premium Pack or SpecB. Oh, and a sunroof!

Some early 2.5 GEN4's had oil consumption issues.

Hmmm... I am not sure whether I'd get a 2.5 4 cylinder or 3.0 6 cylinder yet. I guess it just comes down to what is available. But I assume the 6 would be better, whether it be manual or auto right? More power is always good. I do wanna steer away from a 2.0 though.

Nice. I have noticed the interior is pretty schmick as well after looking at so many photos of 'em. I'm blown away. I've never had anything to the calibre of a Liberty yet.

As much as I'd hate to say it, I agree with you to a degree. The GEN3's butt looks pretty sweet and less bare or possibly boring? It's probably the difference between Kim Kardashian and Miranda Kerr. But unfortunately it's not just the ass end that I've gotta think about when picking which car to buy.

WOW.

I can't stand woodgrain interior to be honest. Never have and probably never will. Can't stand it and it's seriously uncool. It just reminds me of old people... I can picture an old grandpa in a Merc or Jaguar. Ew. Matte black would look pretty sweet, but I reckon covering it with that carbon fibre heat wrap stuff would suffice. My mate has it in his Mazda 3 in various areas on his dash. Looks pretty good to be honest and if it ever does come loose (which he says it hasn't at all yet) all that's needed is a blow dryer and Bob's your uncle!

I reckon Gen 3's back looks great, if it has a spoiler. I see GXes around without a spoiler and they seem a little strange, but with a spoiler they look much much better.

Spoiler or not I think it still looks good. Spoilers on most cars in my opinion spoils it (ha ha, I mean in a bad way). I like the bare naked phattish look of cars. But for Liberty's I am 50/50. Time for me to get started on attempting to write out each model of a Liberty in order of standard to the best if you know what I mean. Hoping to get some feedback once it's done.

Looks sick, don't get me wrong, but it's still a bit off from tickling my fancy. I'm not all for that phat look. I don't know what I'm saying. May be the colour is a turn off for me?
