wow soop... thanks for taking the time out to write that all down for me... lol, tbh (sorry) i'm not going to be going for massive NA power gains, i think that the power from the standard ez30r should be enough to keep me happy for at least a year or two... after that, i'll seriously consider budgeting for pulling the engine out, forging the internals and pushing some boost through it... but as i said, it's a few years off yet... besides which, i think that $13k is enough coin for the time being... oh, and the reasons you listed to go for the ez30r is why i'm doing exactly that... although it's going to cost me about $3-4k more to do it... i think i'd regret not doing it if i didn't... jovan, i'm doing intake, exhaust and tune... and leaving it at that... the stock AUDM is 180kw... JDM is 190kw... i think my motor is going to be a JDM one as it's coming from an importer... either way, i'm hoping for at least 200-210kw

Tristan lets say its 180kw CAI will give u max 3-5 kw exhaust about 5-10kw or so and tune will give you lets say 10kw you reach 200kw at the fly wheel no dramas but when it goes through the box the diffs and tailshaft realistic aim for kw @ the wheels is around 150ish or so...

can't drive a turbo for 2 years...

in case anyone else missed that, it's the main reason i'm going H6...

i understand this... i am hoping for 200 at the fly... not the wheels... the car would probably drive like shit if it were pushing 200 atw in NA form...

Nah it wouldn't. EFI does wonders for pigs :). Being 3.0ltrs, I'd say it would be good for 300hp@w before you ended up with a 2stroke 3ltr. P.s No worries. Just don't gimme shit in future :).

A point that hasn't been explored yet, Tristan. What's the legalities of owning/driving a custom modified car requiring engineering certification?

no idea... probably the same as dylan in with his ej20t...

*shrug*

it doesn't go PTSH! so i don't think the cops will mind as much...

i'll just have to risk it i suppose...

yeh... i guess it's no more legal than putting in a turbo, which would actually save me money and hassle (as i don't need an aftermarket ECU, like i do with the H6) oh well... i think this is more of an individuality thing... putting in an ej20t seems too... um... sensible... lol

legal for p platers well? its a good question, it be legal to drive for p plater just like the normal H6 30r lib wont it (not sure on the laws about p platers) but u will need a engeniers cert, or be prepaired to get defected or even impounded...

The law clearly states "NO MODIFICATIONS" And a modification requiered an engineers certificate is certaily a f*cking modification!

Are cars driven by P-platers allowed to be modified in anyway, even if they have engineers certif?

Talk to Dylan about the joys and fun of being interrogated by the constabulary regarding his conversion whilst having driver licence restrictions.

hey tristan. after al has finished with your car, should have a get together with the qld boys. im sure some of us would be interested in having a look at al's handywork and see the car in the flesh. hope it works out for you, sounds like its going to be a unique ride.
